FlintlockJazz: Hope that attempt at quoting works, apparently the auto-attack for consoles didn't get put in the game, just thought I'd let everyone know.

Delixe: For a game that went gold a few weeks ago they managed to let a lot of stuff slip through. The readme for the PC version also lists some bugs that were not fixed before release, at least one is a game breaker requiring going back to a previous save. It can be avoided if you know before hand but still annoying.

Also anyone who had the Blood Dragon Armor in ME2/DA:O now has it added to their account for use in DA2. The Facebook target was also reached so you should also have the item Of things not lost.
It's to be expected I suppose, they are releasing the sequel less than two years after the first one, even with them starting before DAO was released it doesn't leave much time for testing. Seems to becoming standard practice these days with alot of developers though so isn't that surprising. I'm more astonished that the BSN thread hasn't exploded, usually alot more volatile over there...
I was a little "Hmmm..." when going over the known bugs list in the readme. The bug in question is something that was in the demo and still exists in the full game: If you pick up the letter from Hayder before Isabela tells you to check the bodies, the Chantry door will remain closed. That's the main one that stuck with me out of the known bugs. I guess being swifty and knowing what to do doesn't always pay off. :P

I'm a little nervous cause while the EAStore does register that I have the signature edition, I have not been emailed my promotion keys to actually receive the stuff I'm entitled to. Perhaps they'll mail it out tomorrow, or by activating the game on release day I'll get the keys needed. Right now I only show the product key for the actual game. I'll chill out though and stop worrying cause at least the order page shows that I do have the SE.

KneeTheCap: So let me get this straight. If I'm holding the bought retail copy of Dragon Age 2 in my hands tomorrow, I cannot play it until the release date has passed?

BUT whoever has gotten it from the dark depths of internet, he/she CAN play it immediately?
avatar
Delixe: Not unless it is cracked. It seems the release date check actually downloads the exe for the game and then uninstalls itself. Pirates will only be able to play if they can get a cracked exe which will take them.... oh about 20 mins.
Isn't that a bit...unfair? I mean "you can watch but cannot play, bwahahaaa"

Knee is sad :( *insert random sad image*

Well isnt that always the case with pre-loading? You can download now but you can't play till we tell you. It's good that it's installed and ready to go at release time but yeah it will sit there taunting you for days.

I would send an e-mail to the EAStore about it. I'm sure they have a lot of codes to send out and you should get it today but it is no harm to double check. In my experience EA support is actually very good but only after you have got through the usual bot messages.

Good idea. I have about a half an hour til I'm out of work so I'll give that a try when I get in. I figured like you said they have a ton of keys to send out and I don't want to seem obnoxious to their support, it would just be nice to know my goodies aren't being overlooked. :)

EDIT: Just looked around the BioBoard and according to BW the keys will be sent out at release for the specific region of the buyer. That means tomorrow I should get an email when I wake up since I think it's launching at 0000PST which is 0300EST for me :D

stonebro: Based on this post I've decided to not purchase Dragon Age II.

Namur: If i were to say i'm confortable with the responsabilty i'd be lying.

I hope you're basing part of your decision on the cutdown in terms of writing, characters and lenght and apparent shift in focus towards a game with a lot more cinematics and alot less of everything else hinted by the figures on the first link, and not just on the apparent 'compatibility' between the power rangers track and DA2's 'style, even if said compatibility is a tad scarry ;)
I find DA2's combat animations, the trailer, flashy style very much alike Power Rangers. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.
Go Go Power Rangers!!
Well, thanks to you, the Power Rangers theme is stuck in my head again.

Someone should make a Guile's theme to it.

Ooh, I wonder if there's going to be a Chrome Emporium in the game as well... :p

I've just done it >_< and yes that bloody theme does go with everything. It will take a while to upload though.

Positively glowing review of the 360 version that praises the story on The Escapist

And yes Guile's theme does go with everything link It's really low quality as it's 2am here. Might do a proper edited one tomorrow.

Based off the demo and what ive read i will get da2..... when its 15£ for a new copy. This is based mainly on the cut down gameplay and that its 40 hours worth, i had a bad taste in my mouth from paying full whack to import two worlds 2 for less than 35hrs and i cant see much replayability until its gathered dust for a couple of years
The idea of 40 hours of gameplay not being worth full price baffles me. 2 hour movies cost $20 at release.

I tipped it to Kotaku for you.
