xxxIndyxxx: are there people who played the console version? I heard that it feels better on a console and that it turned origins basicly into a console rpg so i am tempted to buy it eventually on a console, didn't really enjoy the pc demo though... (I just like playing a game on the platform it is best suited for).
The console version lacks the hi res texture pack they released for PC (so they're lying when they talk about same experience on all platforms, or at least hypocritical). At any rate, it will look worse and there's nothing about the console that will improve the gameplay really (no tactical view, etc.), same experience worse graphics I'd say. Of course, you can get rid of it when you're done or trade it for something else so the console version may be worth it for you if you are just going to do one playthrough.
orcishgamer: I am not touching this game with a 10 foot pole until:
1) I can get a GOTY edition for a deep discount
2) The fan made patches have created something worth playing
Seriously, I've played third rate games with less issues than the complaints I hear about DA2.
Tizzysawr: You really think this will get a GOTY version on the same year Skyrim gets released?
Not to mention that 6 months down the road there's barely ONE DLC module available that extends the gameplay (Two if you count the prince one), and no announced bigger DLCs or expansions.
There's just no need for a "GOTY" edition, the way its going, if it gets one it'll just be a repackage of the regular edition. Just get regular at a discount when it goes on sale :P
Well, GOTY has come to mean "has all the DLC included" which is what I want. Whether that's one DLC and or a lot is pretty irrelevant to me, I just want all the content available to me if I buy it. Otherwise I might as well borrow it from a friend for a few days and cruise through it (which may be what I do anyway).
