Dr.M. has stolen our marketing plans, taken our game masters, absconded with our video trailers, and pilfered our contracts! Coala suggests that we should track down the evil Dr., but how in the world can we do that? We know that he has our "Get HUGE" formula, and we suspect that Dr. M. is going to the headquarters of our next publisher--and we know it's one of the five we've already mentioned in our CDP Days Conference this Spring. One of our clever developer guys pointed out that the only way that Dr. M. could have found GOG's secret headquarters (as opposed to our regular, non-secret one) would be to have put a tracking device somewhere. We've tracked Dr. M's tracker (ha! Take that, evil!) and we're plotting his location on a world map with each of our possible upcoming publishers' locations in them. Keep tuned for more updates as we triangulate on the signal and try to track down...the DASTARDLY DR. M.!

the mysterious Dr. M. made his appearance was way back in September, when we re-launched and moved the service out from the beta. Now, with the big announcement quickly approaching, it seems that Dr. M. has come out of the shadow once again. What's he up to this time? Find out more in the tale of great horror, entitled "Dr. M. & The Dastardly Doom". What horrors await? What grim future is coming to GOG.com?

We'll be posting the next pages of the comic in the next days so stay tuned to this news post as the story will reveal more info on Dr. M. and the secret briefcase!

Ein7919: Additionally, the date given (6/2) does not fall within the date range of this year's E3 (6/7-6/9) . I dunno...it just seems kind of a leap to think that E3 HAS to = Los Angeles, and because of that, "LA" HAS to = LucasArts.

Hmm...but if the date in the clue falls outside of the event dates... what could it possibly mean???

Warning: more ponies

(Final edit: my reaction to finally realizing what the countdown timer was for)
*thud* I can't believe I didn't check the dates. I'm to tired to think of what else EEE might stand for right now.

I didn't mean to say the E3 always equals LA, but in this year's case it does. While I'm understanding that you want to seperate the event from the location, I have problems with this since it is at it's concept an excuse to gather a bunch of people in the same field at a single location and flaunt their stuff to the media. A counter argument might point out that this year Konami has a pre E3 event located in multiple cities (according to wikipedia). Coincidently one of these locations is LA and it is set to take place 6/2, but they are a developer and are neither LucasArts or EA so we don't care.

I clicked your URL and just get an error from GOG. Clipping out the GOG portionn gets me to a gallery, but I don't know which picture you had in mind.

flameifrit: I could be wrong, but if it's EA does this mean we could see dungeon keeper 2 in the future? :) if so ..*does a little happy dance*
Yes, also you can see System Shock 2 as well.
Now I get it, only two publisher/dveloper left: LucasArts and EA - the others are gryaed out. :)
I hope LucasArts the "winner", cause I don't know any old EA game I like it or know it. But LucasArts...
The good news is, two the most anticipated developers are left. Both have great games. But there's another thing - which games will be sold, and which won't? Because even if EA arrives on gog, I'm affraid they will not be sellong Medal of Honor games or Battlefield etc....

TaliaKirana: You know they'll likely post another teaser in the morning before the announcement. Just to keep us speculating.
You think we would do that? Nah! Or maybe it's not a bad idea? I'll see what I can do ;)
No Microsoft ?
No Age of Empires series ?

Although E3 starts next week, GOG and CDP have a "pre-E3" conference in LA, which they consider as a kind of prelude to E3.
From their announcement:
"GOG.com and CD Projekt RED start summer early as we're having a joint conference on June 2nd! We're going to reveal some big news just before E3 live from Los Angeles. The announcements will be made on June 2 at 12:00 LA time"
Of it's really EA or LA then it's super win either way. I would prefer EA and I have a feeling it is EA, because Lucasarts are being really weird lately with firing people, stopping their Steam catalog releases and other such things.

Go EA! Go EA! Woo-hoo!

Good thing those publishers have a lot more to offer than that then.

Fair enough.

I was quite happy get a digital copy of Heroes of Might and Magic 3 when it came to GOG. My physical copy has quite a few scratches.
i hope it isn't just one publisher. And I hope one of the games is KOTOR. :D
