Dr.M. has stolen our marketing plans, taken our game masters, absconded with our video trailers, and pilfered our contracts! Coala suggests that we should track down the evil Dr., but how in the world can we do that? We know that he has our "Get HUGE" formula, and we suspect that Dr. M. is going to the headquarters of our next publisher--and we know it's one of the five we've already mentioned in our CDP Days Conference this Spring. One of our clever developer guys pointed out that the only way that Dr. M. could have found GOG's secret headquarters (as opposed to our regular, non-secret one) would be to have put a tracking device somewhere. We've tracked Dr. M's tracker (ha! Take that, evil!) and we're plotting his location on a world map with each of our possible upcoming publishers' locations in them. Keep tuned for more updates as we triangulate on the signal and try to track down...the DASTARDLY DR. M.!

the mysterious Dr. M. made his appearance was way back in September, when we re-launched and moved the service out from the beta. Now, with the big announcement quickly approaching, it seems that Dr. M. has come out of the shadow once again. What's he up to this time? Find out more in the tale of great horror, entitled "Dr. M. & The Dastardly Doom". What horrors await? What grim future is coming to GOG.com?

We'll be posting the next pages of the comic in the next days so stay tuned to this news post as the story will reveal more info on Dr. M. and the secret briefcase!

Why EA will be on GOG.com.
Meh....we'll see.
You are right. I had a vision after reading this article. I saw the future. EA will be on GOG, starting with Origin catalogue.
"Moscow, Russia; Cairo, Egypt; Agra, India; and Sydney, Australia."+ "USA, Seattle, New York, The Grand Canyon"

Let's continue to make BS theories from meaningless facts, shall we?;P

A Guns City Massacre. Dr. M is planning a terrorist attack on E3. Did he mix DA2 with Modern Warfare into one deadly game?

BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY! EA understands one thing - profit. I will pretty much buy everything on that list.
I would welcome EA as much as I would welcome LucasArts. It would be incredible to see either join GOG and support their mission statement.

Both companies have huge back catalogs.

Even outside of the WC/Ultima games and Bullfrog, how about Westwood and Dreamworks Interactive? I'd love to see the Lands of Lore and Kyrandia games, Blade Runner and Neverhood receive a home here.

Veering away from the path of wild speculation for a minute, when do we get to see some mysterious video transmissions from the Evil Dr. M? ;)

I think if GOG ever got Blade Runner on here the internets would asplode.
Why I am hopeful it is EA and not Lucasarts:

Having EA onboard at GOG, would pretty much shake up the industry and show all of the publishers out there that GOG is indeed a viable, safe (from a business perspective) and worthwhile investment in terms of their back catalogs and other materials.

Lucasarts would be a great addition to GOG, but EA would be earth shattering in my opinion and totally allow GOG to have a much easier time when negotiating with other publishers.

I probably am taking way too much out of all of the various things GOG has done the past week or so.. But, the fact they keep mentioning that it is a "HUGE" and "SUPER GROWTH FORMULA", points more so to the fact that EA would be coming on board then Lucasarts.

Plus, would Lucasarts truly be the biggest announcement ever for GOG? Debatable, since a lot of their catalog is already on competing sites. Now, EA on the other hand would be the publisher which would make others go... "They got EA? WHAT?!"

Again just my two cents. I will be happy if it is EA or Lucasarts.

It is a great time to be a GOGer. It is a bad time to be a GOGer's wallet.
I don't know why but couple of the clues reminded me of the C&C series.

Scorpion is symbol of the Brotherhood of Nod (main enemy in Tiberian storyline) , thought I dont know where Australia fits into it.
and Moscow..well, capital of the Soviet Union (main enemy in Red Alert)

..and I think you defend New York in a couple of the RA2 missions.
As for the other clues, i dont know where they fit in.

Im grasping at straws and I dont know much about Lucas Arts games,.hence why I'm rooting for EA :P but the clues probably point way more to Lucus.

Entirely possible!
Well, the tweet that is mentioned in this articles settled the issue.

And it's wow.

I only hope it's not only Origins catalogue, but also Westwood, Maxis, Bullfrog (!), Mythic.

6 of those on the top 10 list for wanted are Lucasarts. Only 3 are EA.

2 of EA's 3 (well, the franchise that comprises them) have been hinted as not being part of the announcement.

Well, I'm not taking it as gospel, but that is certainly eye opening. Can't wait for tomorrow! :)
