Dr.M. has stolen our marketing plans, taken our game masters, absconded with our video trailers, and pilfered our contracts! Coala suggests that we should track down the evil Dr., but how in the world can we do that? We know that he has our "Get HUGE" formula, and we suspect that Dr. M. is going to the headquarters of our next publisher--and we know it's one of the five we've already mentioned in our CDP Days Conference this Spring. One of our clever developer guys pointed out that the only way that Dr. M. could have found GOG's secret headquarters (as opposed to our regular, non-secret one) would be to have put a tracking device somewhere. We've tracked Dr. M's tracker (ha! Take that, evil!) and we're plotting his location on a world map with each of our possible upcoming publishers' locations in them. Keep tuned for more updates as we triangulate on the signal and try to track down...the DASTARDLY DR. M.!

the mysterious Dr. M. made his appearance was way back in September, when we re-launched and moved the service out from the beta. Now, with the big announcement quickly approaching, it seems that Dr. M. has come out of the shadow once again. What's he up to this time? Find out more in the tale of great horror, entitled "Dr. M. & The Dastardly Doom". What horrors await? What grim future is coming to GOG.com?

We'll be posting the next pages of the comic in the next days so stay tuned to this news post as the story will reveal more info on Dr. M. and the secret briefcase!

At some point in the near or far future i want the old blizzard games. Diablo 1/ starcraft/ and warcraft 2 would be amazing.

Also EA would be sick.

Agthalas: (...snip...)

okay.. so thats only like 19.. but there's still the classic EA and Bullfrog games to fill the gaps.

How many foundational-RTS games could get added to the list.. 3 different Dunes, some algebraic-function of Command and Conquers...
You left out a couple that would bring it closer to that 25 number:

Wing Commander: Privateer Gold
Strike Commander Gold
Privateer 2: The Darkening (not absolutely terrible...I'd be up to pick it up again from GoG)
And, one thing that I'm dumbfounded to see not mentioned at all: the Jane's catalog. Then again, maybe I missed something, I've only read the first 18 pages.

Still, I am saddened to see that Microsoft Game Studios was shuffled off the map.

(but my wallet is very happy)

DrIstvaan: I'm not dropping in for the hype (that just doesn't seem to affect me), only to show my appreciation for the pun-bardment in this issue.
Seriously, who came up with those shoe-based puns?

TheEnigmaticT: GOG's resident American wrote, more or less, the whole script. I think Cook and Galimatias added a bit, too.

I never thought that college scriptwriting class would ever come in handy, but looks like it did. :P
You're the pungeon master, then. Good job! ;-).
Hi-Octane...

Ishbane: Hi-Octane...
... Nightmare Fuel
So, Dr M. is talking about minions which reminds me Dungeon Keeper (EA).

Tomorrow we will know what's next big publisher signed by GOG. It's EA, LucasArts or Take 2.

And I suspect that in 6 hours there will be only two possibilities.

A bit weird, why the don't say which one it is directly, because now people are disappointed that games like Age of Empires are not coming, because Microsoft is not a possibility anymore :S. Feels not right to my, or Gog.com has to fake us and will say tomorrow that all the publishers are signed, and that's what i hope because then gog.com will explode of happiness!

Also, the say it is the biggest announcement ever on Gog, +1 publisher isn't the biggest announcement ever i think, so the might have some extra surprises.

They like to play games with us (and some of us like those games).

Anyway, it won't be all publishers, because GOG already stated it will be one publisher, and it makes no sense from the marketing point of view.

But, they also stated before they are hoping to sign two of those 5 publishers until the end of the year, so hopefully, we'll end 2011 with only two big publishers left to sign.

If it's EA, it's going to be the biggest annoouncement ever.

Can't wait anymore :(
So, did GoG finally bought Steam and we will all be able to import our Steam games into GoG?

This is exactly what I thought. :-)
Our journey continues and at the very end we finally find the clue.
Man, that clue is hard.
