Dr.M. has stolen our marketing plans, taken our game masters, absconded with our video trailers, and pilfered our contracts! Coala suggests that we should track down the evil Dr., but how in the world can we do that? We know that he has our "Get HUGE" formula, and we suspect that Dr. M. is going to the headquarters of our next publisher--and we know it's one of the five we've already mentioned in our CDP Days Conference this Spring. One of our clever developer guys pointed out that the only way that Dr. M. could have found GOG's secret headquarters (as opposed to our regular, non-secret one) would be to have put a tracking device somewhere. We've tracked Dr. M's tracker (ha! Take that, evil!) and we're plotting his location on a world map with each of our possible upcoming publishers' locations in them. Keep tuned for more updates as we triangulate on the signal and try to track down...the DASTARDLY DR. M.!

the mysterious Dr. M. made his appearance was way back in September, when we re-launched and moved the service out from the beta. Now, with the big announcement quickly approaching, it seems that Dr. M. has come out of the shadow once again. What's he up to this time? Find out more in the tale of great horror, entitled "Dr. M. & The Dastardly Doom". What horrors await? What grim future is coming to GOG.com?

We'll be posting the next pages of the comic in the next days so stay tuned to this news post as the story will reveal more info on Dr. M. and the secret briefcase!

I would love to play that game again.

Cool sphinx souvenir and bad boot puns :D I love GoG
Take Two I believe. Whatever the publisher is I'm sure we will be happy with the result. Well most of us will be anyway. A small but vocal minority will whine, bitch and complain that it isn't publisher x or publisher y. This is the internets after all.

That one is on the 'might quite possibly but not for certain become a partner'-list! Sweet

Or they'll bitch about the prices being too high for game x and too low for game y & some will also moan that the hype was a bad thing/etc.

That's how the internets work.

Price isn't an issue when you get classics that you couldn't buy at the time but wanted to. E.g countries which did't have at the time dedicated game sellers. And 6/10 dollars is nothing because the quality/cost ratio is positive whereas for some present video games is sub-unitary and even negative.

People that complain about the pricing have a screwed up value system.

You are speaking as a rational person. Rationality has no place on the internets. Trust me 30 seconds after GOG make their announcement there will be a thread full of butthurt from people complaining about it.

If it's not Lucasarts, I'll make at least one "I would have preferred Lucasarts" posts.

Count on it. I'm doing my part to contribute to the degradation of the internet..

1. Yes, people who couldn't get such games for such reasons(not financially able at the time, living in country with little game imports, etc) and can get them now only for high prices through eBay/amazon/etc should be GLAD to be able to get a game for 6 bucks or even 10 on GOG if they want it so badly....yet you'll see them complaining that 10 is too much and even when it goes on sale if it's only 30% off they moan that they want 50% and then they'll "bite"(as if they really need to save that extra dollar.)

Now i'm not talking about those who have huge backlogs & wait for sales to both get the game cheaper and at a time they can play it, mind you...just the 100% cheapskates.

2. Indeed.
And the dot in Canada is gone. What was it?

I've just noticed Microsoft is now greyed out. So it's 2K, EA or LucasArts.

It was an error. It was supposed to be in Washington, the base of Microsoft. But it was erroneously placed all the way up in Canada.

Edit: It appears to have been removed entirely. Along with MGS being greyed out. So it wasn't a correction, they're narrowing down.

I've also been having a problem with geography that dates back to the elementary school. I know how hard it can be to properly place a city on a map. Most of you will never understand that. :D
definately Command & Conquer, as the fight took place in europe
