Dr.M. has stolen our marketing plans, taken our game masters, absconded with our video trailers, and pilfered our contracts! Coala suggests that we should track down the evil Dr., but how in the world can we do that? We know that he has our "Get HUGE" formula, and we suspect that Dr. M. is going to the headquarters of our next publisher--and we know it's one of the five we've already mentioned in our CDP Days Conference this Spring. One of our clever developer guys pointed out that the only way that Dr. M. could have found GOG's secret headquarters (as opposed to our regular, non-secret one) would be to have put a tracking device somewhere. We've tracked Dr. M's tracker (ha! Take that, evil!) and we're plotting his location on a world map with each of our possible upcoming publishers' locations in them. Keep tuned for more updates as we triangulate on the signal and try to track down...the DASTARDLY DR. M.!

the mysterious Dr. M. made his appearance was way back in September, when we re-launched and moved the service out from the beta. Now, with the big announcement quickly approaching, it seems that Dr. M. has come out of the shadow once again. What's he up to this time? Find out more in the tale of great horror, entitled "Dr. M. & The Dastardly Doom". What horrors await? What grim future is coming to GOG.com?

We'll be posting the next pages of the comic in the next days so stay tuned to this news post as the story will reveal more info on Dr. M. and the secret briefcase!

ddmuse: Those monk robes look a bit like Jedi robes... ;-)
I'm just happy it isn't a flasher trenchcoat.
it's perhaps a clue for french translation .. but I think the next big thing may to be a Star Wars day because of the last position of the french monk l seems to be like Luke skywalker on the first episode poster
I love how the monk in the last frame is giving the brief case a shocker.

its EA. Giving the shocker for system shock.

tacossmellgood: i'm from DC, so i have seen pentagram play many, ,many times. Bobby is pretty awesome live!

Arteveld: How effing cool is that! I'm gonna do the same, as soon as humanity learns to bend and fold time and space. Go go LHC!;)
And many times? Now that's just way too cool. When so many people never even heard about Pentagram, here's a guy who's seen them a lot.
I mean WOW! Just don't tell me, it was in the 70s, that'd be way too awesome.
[yea, now You're like an astronaut to a 7 year old, epic]
Naw, i was born in the 70's! I saw them play in the 90's when they were calling themselves "Death Row" and that was pretty awesome. Or maybe that was just after the transition back to the Pentagram name, i forget. god, my memory! :( After that, i saw them play a number of shows in 2000's, and one of my friends was playing guitar with them for awhile actually. I am even thanked in the liner notes for the album named "sub-basement" under the name "Hawk." There is like 150 people named on that album, so it's not like i did anything really, but i was part of that doom-loving music community in the greater washington DC area when i was younger (before i moved away).
i am always glad to hear other folks appreciating it, because i know you have really awesome music out in europe too. i really love candlemass, and celtic frost, among others. :)
"what's that pose" maybe it's like spiderman's webslinging pose? is there a marvel game that could be it?

also, i'm sure this has been discussed, but the mystery person that is talking about the growth formula looks like they are wearing a surgeon's robes, or a mad scientist's gown, and he has leather welding gloves on?

what game is that character from? it seems SOOOO familiar! god, it's like right on the tip of my brain!

Oh, wait, wait, wait.... wasn't their a mad scientist in one of the lucasarts games?
like Zak McKracken or Maniac Mansion, or one of the earlier ones?
That's IT! It's Maniac Mansion! It must be the Mad scientist from Maniac Mansion!
We are getting Lucasarts.
That's my official guess.

Also, There is a Mad Scientist guy in SAM AND MAX HIT THE ROAD! :)

I like that GOG.com inexplicably keeps a French monk locked up in a closet to announce their new publisher acquisitions. Makes the whole process feel more magical.
Eez what???? Eez what??????? It's worse than a brazilian soap opera!
Man I just know this is going to end up being Take Two, solely because that's the least interesting.

Well, if the next strip of the comic features a dead monk and the words "There was nothing we could do; he was dead. We could tell by the empty, accusing stare of his eyes", we'll know you were right ;P.
Otherwise, I'll stick with Lucas Arts, based on the "not THAT exciting" hint and the fact that Mr. Enigmatic mentioned that he doesn't think people would get as excited over SE of the Monkey Island series with them being available elsewhere for a really long time...

THQ or T2, that's my newest call... I would bet THQ, because it has more games

but how would THQ or T2 tie in with the picture of what looks like? a mad scientist in the second comic?

or do you think that's all just a trick to throw us off the path?

Similarly though Take Two games are on every digital service known to man. In contrast Steam has a pretty thin Lucasarts catalog.
DeusEx is also avaible in multiple stores, so it's not AS exciting as everything else...
Can you see 25 games coming from THQ or Take Two?
yawn. Wake me up when something interesting happens.
Since last "reveal" i tend to treat gog stunts just like that shepherd who cried wolf a lot :P
