Dr.M. has stolen our marketing plans, taken our game masters, absconded with our video trailers, and pilfered our contracts! Coala suggests that we should track down the evil Dr., but how in the world can we do that? We know that he has our "Get HUGE" formula, and we suspect that Dr. M. is going to the headquarters of our next publisher--and we know it's one of the five we've already mentioned in our CDP Days Conference this Spring. One of our clever developer guys pointed out that the only way that Dr. M. could have found GOG's secret headquarters (as opposed to our regular, non-secret one) would be to have put a tracking device somewhere. We've tracked Dr. M's tracker (ha! Take that, evil!) and we're plotting his location on a world map with each of our possible upcoming publishers' locations in them. Keep tuned for more updates as we triangulate on the signal and try to track down...the DASTARDLY DR. M.!

the mysterious Dr. M. made his appearance was way back in September, when we re-launched and moved the service out from the beta. Now, with the big announcement quickly approaching, it seems that Dr. M. has come out of the shadow once again. What's he up to this time? Find out more in the tale of great horror, entitled "Dr. M. & The Dastardly Doom". What horrors await? What grim future is coming to GOG.com?

We'll be posting the next pages of the comic in the next days so stay tuned to this news post as the story will reveal more info on Dr. M. and the secret briefcase!

The last one seemed more in line with Grim Fandango, and this one seems more like Thief. Square or Lucas, hmmmm? Still pulling for EA though. Who knows though, maybe both Square and LA?!?

keeveek: and I think that EA is impossible...

SLP2000: But TheEnigmaticT said new games won't be as exciting as DeusEx, and if we get SE onboard there's no way we won't get DeusEx asap. So, from the Big 5, SE is last option for me.
But every publisher has as exciting games as DeusEx... Also, it's not hard to buy deus ex in other stores, like Greenmangaming or Gamersgate...

I would like this would be another publisher, especially Microsoft (Starlancer! Freelancer! Neverhood!), because all good games from S/E are acessible in Poland (All Tomb Raider titles for example)

I don't know, EnigmaticT may be trying to deceive us ;P
From reading the articles and comics I think someone at GOG has been playing a little too much Evil Genius ;)
It is now > 10 PM in Europe... No announcement?

Gammix: Can't believe how long it took me to get the DR.M thing. >.<
-facepalm-
It's okay, I didn't get it until just now!
WHATS IN THE BOX? WHATS IN THE BOX?!? /Se7en
GOG always delivers... but the wait is always so painful. :P

GameRager: I'm hoping for a big announce tomorrow...involving systems being shocked and thieves trampsing about in the night.

But it's giant boobs and bad english! What's not to like? :D
Very Pczone ish, that comic.. (old UK magazine that went under, reminds me of their random style of doing stuff sometimes, that and Yours Sinclair... But I digress...)

Looking forward to seeing whatever the reveal is. I trust GoG enough for it to be good whatever it is :)
I'm hoping for Electronic Arts. I will always hope for EA. They have a huge catalogue of games. Geting EA would be awesome. I have bought countless EA games since the days of the C64. They have so many games on my all time best list.

Microsoft - I see that as impossible. Age of Empires would be cool.

Lucasarts - Not a lot that I like there. Star Wars Rebellion maybe? Not saying lucasarts is bad. It's just that it might be possible that I've never played a Lucasarts game before, or I don't recall doing so. Thus, my attitude is... meh.

Square-enix - Would like to revisit FFVII.

Take 2 - CIVILIZATION!! DRM-Free Bioshock!!??!! LMFAO

Despite my personal preference in publisher, when it comes right down to it, I am a patient man. I really wish that every publisher gets on board. If it's lucasarts, I know I will have a good time discovering why so many others are so into thier games.

I lift my beer to GOG. "Bring them all in! The more the merrier."

ddmuse: Using a tracking device to locate a secret base... Killing an incompetent minion... Both could hint at Star Wars (LucasArts; this fits with the possible clue to Grim Fandango).
avatar
OzzyR: I guess it will be Lucas Arts. Darth Vader gloves gave it all away. Great Grim Fandango and Star Wars are on the way...
Looks like Darth Vader's gloves to me, too.

Perhaps Dr. M will snatch the briefcase with the Force and battle the French Monk. Those monk robes look a bit like Jedi robes... ;-)
