I have the installer set up and I am trying to download The Witcher 1/2 on it and when I try and start the download via the site it says: "The file could not be located in the installer's folder, please make sure the files are in the correct folder, or specify its current location.'' How can I get it to work?
You need to download all the installer parts from the website or by using GOG downloader. You run installer only after download is complete.

Installer or Downloader? If you've only grabbed the first part of the installer (setup_the_witcher_xxx.exe) then you are missing the rest of the installation files, thus the installer will ask you for them.

If you have properly installed the Downloader, clicking on the link in "My Account" should add all the files to the downloader, and start installing them. Can add a picture tutorial if you want, but feel free to answer first :)

Oh, and welcome to GOG.com
So I just need to download all the other parts via google chrome?

Either this, or see the sticky on top of the forum for the "GOG Downloader" and install that. Then you can use the downloader, though how easy/good it is for you varies from user to user. I never had trouble, others had quite a lot.

But yes, you need to download all parts of the installer to install the game.
Well I have the downloader, how do I use that to download all my games?

Go to "My Account", click on the game you want to download, make sure that Downloader mode is set to on (see picture), then click on "Windows Game Installer" (or Mac OS X Game Installer) to add it to the downloader. Feel free to also add the bonus pack to it, if you are interested in that.

Unfortunately, there still isn't a "Download all the games" button, and with larger collections it does get time consuming to add everything to the downloader.

Thats it! Thanks for the help!
Actually the download froze and won't go up, and idea of why?

If you mean that the download stopped for some reason, try clicking on "Pause all" and then resume, to see if that wakes it up. If that doesn't work, try closing the downloader and starting it again (the X will minimize it to tray, right click and select exit/quit/close or however it's called).

The downloader should check what has already been downloaded, and continue with what is missing, even if it seems to start the download from 0.
If this fails as well, upload the log file (found in %localappdata%\GOG.com\logger.log) to pastebin and post a link in the sticky on top, so Szulak or Fallen_Zen can take a look at it.
Already tried both of those. Should I just restart the download?

Copy the files somewhere, right click on the installer in the downloader and select "remove from list" (this will delete the files, thus the advice to copy them), copy the files back, then add the download again. It should take a bit of time preparing, which is normal, since it's checking what has been downloaded.

The downloader has finicky moments. When mine gets stuck, I add something else to the downloader, like a free game or something, move it up to the top of the list, let it download and usually the game that got stuck starts downloading again after that.

No idea why it happens, but it's kind of common.

^What he said. This happens to me all the time. All together it's a very minor quirk in an otherwise brilliant system. I do all of the downloading at night when I'm asleep and when I wake up the status bar will show it is still on but the speed is at zero so I just copy the file somewhere else, clear the downloader, and I'm good.

EDIT: Ninjad by a Fin! How typical! :P I live in a part of the U.S. that is 99% Finish ancestry and everytime I take an interest in a girl I find she has already been won over by one of you!

You can also just download all the parts from the site (I always do), but if you've already downloaded a great deal of it through the downloader, try the other suggestions first.
