hi folks anyone having trouble with download speeds? just bought a nice game has an installer with 5 parts the 4 parts of it downloaded fine now trying the last part but the more it downloads the slower it gets. have 20 Mbps speed nothing else working atm, speed tests are normal no problems with quota or anything but the damn thing just won't load starts at 150 KBps goes down to 100. any ideas? is it due to traffic or something? drives me nuts

GOG servers are close to maxed out since the Winter Sale promo stated yesterday. Hopefully it'll be up and running as normal soon but my guess is that your connection is fine - assuming other pages are opening without delay.

Downloaded the Fallout games yesterday. About 1.3 mb/s. Business as usual.
And just for fun, I tried downloading them again now. Again about 1.3 mb/s.

okay here's a weird one for you I could not for the life of me figure it out:

I bought 2 games one of them has 5 piece installer files, one of them has 1 installer file

I downloaded 4 pieces of the installers and started the fifth but my download speed went down to about 100KBps when it should have been 2MBps

then I thought "oh okay I guess it's the sale traffic"

tried it again just now and no go, then tried downloading the other game and it downloaded on normal speed

so other files are downloading normally on 2MBps but this fifth piece of the installer is stuck at a very annoyingly low speed, I honestly don't get why and it is annoying as hell

made me go "wtf?", any ideas?

update:

okay ignore the top post finally it worked I guess it was traffic related and more bound to luck

I simply posted it anywhere I found anything about the problems we have been experiencing was being discussed, as a courtesy. :-)

Are you sure it's not something on your end or your IP's end? I have no problems.
