It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi guys
I downloaded some games succesfully to my laptop. Now I'm trying to do the same with a desktop downloading with a browser, but only thing I get is a page with one line:
string(135) "http://bitcast-a.bitgravity.com/gog/secure...
OS is Win7 (not Beta), browser FFox 5.3.5. GOG downloader only shows queue empty.
What gives?
Firefox issue perhaps?
I'm also on FF 5.3.5 and got the same error when trying to download using the browser. I'm on Vista 64 though.
Will try getting the downloader and using that...
[edit] have you talked to GOG support yet? they might have an answer.

I am having the same problem. I am unable to add any of my games to the downloader queue and I also get the "string(###)..." error if I try to download directly through the browser.
Win7 RTM
IE8 and Firefox 3.5.3
Nice to know I'm not the only one. Don't believe it's a FFox issue - tried now with 3.5.3, IE8, Chrome and portable FFox 3.0.4. Don't find OS issue likely either.
Didn't try support yet, thought someone might have resolved this. But here we come...
Me too. It seems that whatever GOG have been fixing, they've broken some fundamental functionality in the process.
QUICK FIX: Copy and paste the quoted URL (without quotation marks) into your address bar and press enter.

Just for good measure tested also portable FFox 2.0.0. No go.
Copy-pasting the link was the first thing I tried. Got only permission denied-page. Funny enough tried it again with ye olde Firefoxe 2.0.0 - and no problems :-|
Ah well... posted to support linking to this discussion, let's see.

You can't use the same session (or what ever it's called) so you have to open a new window or a tab and paste the link in it. You still have to have the page with the download link open when doing this or your download access will get denied.
Same problem here... no gaming tonight :(

I'm using Firefox 3.5.3 and just copied the quoted link and pasted in the address bar of the same tab. it worked without issues.

I'm getting the same message with IE 8, maybe there server is down? I hope this corrected soon as I have a few games to download.

Noup... after the first few tries works on new FF with the same tab, new tab, new window... some quirk...
Everything should work fine now.
Help! I got a new game on my Windows 8 Pro computer, and the game won't download! The description said it was compatible with Windows 8, but it won't download. The game was IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, and when I try and download the parts, they come out to be corrupted. When I try and use the GOG Downloader...NOTHING HAPPENS!

Hopefully someone can respond with a solution, otherwise, I just wasted $10.00!
