GameRager: I thought this was talking about a president...then remembered there was no President Douglas Adams? Or was there? 0.o

Also free rep? Can I have some then?
avatar
CymTyr: Yeah you can, I reworded my posts after remembering how upset some people got a couple years ago when we tested the rep system... Or was that last year? idk
Isn't it more like once a week, on my account, in both directions? I mean using 1 test subject sounds risky but it pays off in the end I should think for everyone.

Actually I think you singlehandedly caused them to fix the rep system, bro. Or at least, fix it as much as they can.

Personally I'd just as soon do without it.
Douglas Adams fact: there have been many theories about the importance of 42, but Adams being Adams just picked the number at random, decided it sounded like a good number and went with that.

CymTyr: I can only up rep your posts 1 time each...
Which doesn't achieve anything unless several others do the same thing to the same post(s).

I know, but it makes people happy to get up repped.

Well if it makes people happy... Just so long as nobody's disappointed when the little numbers don't change. :P

:) on a Douglas Adams related note, what was the question again? I always remember the Answer, but can never remember the Question?

What is 7 multiplied by 6.

Delixe: What is 7 multiplied by 6.
Thank you, sir.
He was just this guy, you know?

How the fuck did it take a computer millions of years to arrive at that? derp.
Actually, what exactly the Ultimate Question was, was never revealed. Near the end of Life, the Universe, and Everything, Prak told us that knowing the Question and knowing the Answer are mutually exclusive.

Balderdash...one can't usually get a specific answer without first knowing the question or a possibility of what it could be.

It was revealed in Mostly Harmless if I'm not mistaken. And it was revealed as What is 7 multiplied by 6? My recollection is hazy but I seem to recall some burning bushes spelling it out.

Also here's a fun fact: Several years back at a renaissance festival in Escondido, California, my friend pointed out to me an absolutely perfect "42" shape in the clouds.

It was also in the TV adaption. Arthur spelled it out using makeshift scrabble pieces as he was apart of the ultimate computer. Kinda.
