Look at this site. Better yet, look at the "shelf" they have on there. Someone took more than GOG's clean interface, and if I'm not mistaken, some of those covers look exactly like the polished GOG covers.
I'll unnecessarily add greater detail to what was previous written. :) Boxer's design inspiration actually came from other Mac apps rather than GOG. Boxer makes it easy for you to display custom icons for your DosBox games - originally the dev simply encouraged use of img2icons to create cover art then those icons would look nice displayed on your shelf. The new version allows you to create game icons from images in the app itself. As stated by other posters, the "wooden shelf" motif goes back awhile as a design on OS X programs - for most programs (like Boxer) it's essentially just a decoration on an otherwise normal finder window. The Boxer-guy pretty much stated right out in one of his early dev-posts in 2008 that he's planning on using the "look" from Delicious Library in later (now current) versions. So probably the similarities in the look between GOG and Boxer are more due to co-inspiration from the same source rather than Boxer getting inspiration from GOG.
I like that both GOG and Boxer make my digital collection of games look like a nice library - it feels somehow classier (for lack of a better word) than the standard little game icons. I actually owe my thanks to a GOGer for my discovery of Boxer. Of course all my DosBox games that I run through Boxer come from GOG. :)
As an aside, Boxer is actually a really nice DosBox frontend. I've not upgraded to version 1.0 though, because he removed joystick support which won't be back until version 1.1.
jlg6184: Gonna have to bookmark this and try out some of my games on the G5 I got lyin' around.
As a heads up: I got unplayable performance on the G5 when I tried to use Boxer v0.87 on it, but I didn't really play around with it too much (and I haven't tried the version 1.0 on a G5), so that may just be my bad experience.
