We'd like to invite you all to a gaming event and to help a noble cause.

Dorkapalooza! 2011 is a gamer gathering which also will be raising funds for the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS). Together with CD Projekt RED, we're giving some goodies for the lottery/auction that will take place at the event. Dorkapalooza! 2011 is taking place during the upcoming weekend 9th-10th of July in Glasgow, Scotland. For more details go here!

Always nice to see people working for a good cause.
Dorkapalooza, sounds nice
Damn, I'll be permanently in Scotland in 2 months, wish I could attend the meeting.

Any chance for a GOG sale during those two days, for us to raise some money for the cause as well?

I doubt a comment from GOG like "please guys buy whatever you want at full price for those 2 days, all of the money will be donated to the charity" would do much good, but a "we are beginning a -40% sale on selected titles for the next weekend, every penny will be donated to the cause" will have some effect.

Then again, it will be a weekend, so we'll have a promo either way, so it's up to the GOG lads to donate a amount of money, through the GOG users - we'll all be proud of our affiliation will GOG as well. ;-)

The annoying thing is i cant get there at those dates, its an hour away but my duties here stop me...
Who came up with calling a gaming event "Dorkapalooza"?

Really makes me feel like going. "Hey stonebro, what did you do this summer?" "Well, I attended dorkapalooza 2011! Woo!"

Holy fuck. Wanna bet this event just committed suicide by the name alone?

This. I don't care if I pay full price from which some $ will be transffered to CHAS or I just get a promo price. Gog - just set the model - I'm in.

Someone has insecurity issues...
Love Scotland. Took a long trip there a few years back. Great people/great food. Might move there some day! Great cause guys. Just another reason to love GOG!
Shouldn't the Americanized version be Children's Hospice Association Of Scotland.....

CHAOS? :-)
Hope you guys enjoy your time in bonny Scotland. Pity i cant make it those days but hopefully you guys can enjoy our haggis, bagpipes, whisky (oh yeas the nector of life that) and the games.

Ps bring some sun fed up of rain here in the highlands.
If you want to raise money for this cause you should release those limited edition tops you made some time ago with the 'Cheap and Unprotected' phrase.

Just a thought
Great... I'm in Glasgow EVERY weekend... except this one. It coincides with the Tall Ships events over at Greenock...
