Not in, but you put such a smile on my face with this - heck, seeing all the love DOOM still gets all over the net is really cheering me right up. And I'm super excited to see if any modders or mappers end up making use of the "new" old assets that have come to light.

My fondest memory of DOOM is playing the first one co-op with my late father - infact it's one of my earlier gaming memories and still very vivid to this day. There are few games that come even close to DOOM for co-op play, I have to say.

A little upset that Nova:The Birth didn't even get a mention in the cacowards though, it was definitely one of the highlights of the DOOM year for me...
I'll be in, please, for Deadfall Adventures, thanks.

Doom II came out when I was in college. It was my first experience of modding. My buddies and I swapped out monster sounds with soundclips we took from Sesame Street. It was wonderful fun, editing down sound files so the loops would work right. I loved it. And it spawned a still going love of modding in me.

Plus the game rocks. Although, these days I'll be damned if I'll play it without mouse support. Which, thankfully, is easy to come by with available mods.

Cheers!
Tempted, but not in, thanks.

never really liked doom or any of that eras shooters - though that is probably not aided by the one friend with a PC I knew at the time, being one of those who never actually let you play, and forced you to watch them play for hours on end. As a result, I can safely say there are many games of that era I grew to dislike (even after getting my own version many years later).

Edit: having said that... its probably a reason as well that I took to the more tactical and atmospheric end of FPS games - so good for me in the long run (massive STALKER fan and was once really into ghost recon and the likes).

Not in but my fondest memory is doing a level and getting a 2 year gig doing level design for two AA learning games. Even had some levels get featured on Ziff Davis disks.

BTW, not a programer, just was good at level layout and texture design and placement and doing QA on the project

Thank you for Deadfall Adventures! Woohoo!
Hey this is my first time ever posting in GOG forums but I'd like to be in, want Empire: Total War. My favourite memory of doom has got to be using the shotgun. I always felt an indescribable but pleasant feeling when I one-shotted zombies and imps. Doom hasn't really left any impact on me except that it made me feel quite happy.
Thanks for the giveaway and I am in for Viking: Battle for Asgard

My fondest memory of the game would be when I got a copy of the collector's edition in 2003 after being used to the PS1 port for years. I didn't have a PC around the time when I played the PS1 port and I loved the PS1 version at that time... and still do. The PC version on the other hand, just amplified my love to a new degree thanks to more content, better feel, and the community. I have played so many mods for Doom I might as well say that I have an addiction to it like a nasty drug. I remember when I played my first level WAD, Icarus: Alien Vanguard, it was still the same as Doom but it felt different and a good introduction the more ludicrous mods I would play in the years following. I also loved the game so much that any device I had that could play Doom had Doom on there at some point, whether it is through official means or homebrew porting.

i really like Doom Series, first time i saw doom 1 (back in the 90s), was on a friends pc. He was something about 15year old boy. I was really young, something about 10 or 11 years. It was that awesome game that you not allowed to play. I really enjoyed to watch him playing.

not in. Very great giveaway! +1
