Oh wooooow. They went from $10/$20, to $100, to YOU CAN'T BUY SORRY FUCKERS.
Good. That will give people an excuse to acquire it without removing anything from inventory.
Okay, got some good news (finally)

:D
I like how they said that they're looking at options. A nice way of saying they don't want to simply put Doom 3 and the expansion back up for sale on Steam. It's silly that they also took away the option to buy Final Doom and the Master Levels for Doom 2. They aren't even in the BFG edition. They took away the Doom pack which had everything though so I guess it's all about removing any competition for the BFG edition.
Looks like nobody was buying this piece of crap, so Steam (had to?) pull out most of the classic doom games (including the oldest ones!) from the store.

LOVELY.

Thankfully, Pirates of the Carribean hasn't pulled them from their 'store'.

Master Levels were never available for separate purchase. They came in Doom Pack and maybe with Doom 2, because I got my ML, when I was gifted D2.

You should get it from Davy Jones' Locker just so you can play The Dark Mod. Fenixp and I can testify to its greatness.

I still see all the Doom games, including both versions of Doom 3, in both my library and the store. Must be a regional thing.
Btw, the wad files for the classic Doom games is in one of the BFG edition's sub folders, so they should be usable with any source port. Haven't tried it yet, so can't say for sure.
Modded Doom 3 is scary beautiful.

I'm not sure my pc could handle it with such heavy environmental rendering.

They're in the store, what people are saying is they can't be bought and have no price.

Ah. Well, Ultimate Doom & Doom 2 is there, but everything else is lacking price, as you guys are saying.

Fuzzyfireball: Something I found funny.

DOOM 3 on Ultra

Ah those screenshots. Funny thing is, when I compare similar textures with both, BFG has the slightly better ones. Something tells me whoever took those screenshots "forgot" to mention they're using some mod/graphic pack or other graphic enhancment on the original game and not using same on BFG.

Something tells me, that if the base game + mods looks way better than the "enhanced edition", there is still no reason to buy the latter.

Wouldn't recommend using the .wad files that come with BFG edition. Health kits and Wolf levels censored and other very strange decisions. However they included a NERVE.wad which is actually No Rest for the Living found on XBLA.

If you're only interested in the way it looks, I'd probably agree. But that's still no excuse to pass off a modded version as vanilla in such a comparison.
