Ok so I've been looking at the Witcher whilst its still on offer - however one thing that is worrying me is the filesize for the download. At 8.4GB its a pretty big chunk of my well used monthly download limit. So I'm wondering (since I've never tried it before through GoG) if I can do a partial download (either regular through my browser - opera - or through the GoG interface).

Thus letting me download it in two separate parts and spread the load over two months rather than all in the same month (Yes I could try risking it all at download right over the changeover time from one month to the next but I expect this would not be as cleancut as one would like and might just lump the whole download into a single months slot).

The Witcher's setup is split in 6 files, so you can download the first three now, and the second three the next month.

Many of the multi-file GOGs are like this. Basically, the 3MB one is just the installer, while all the others (.bin files, IIRC) are archive files containing the game files themselves.

Ahh that is good news - I've never downloaded a single game from GoG that large before so didn't know about the file being broken into sections.
