That is a good point, but just to make sure I understand the possibly implicit rules: if two dogmas contradict each other, then is the newer one always the effective one?

Okay, fair enough. I do understand your example in that a new dogma directly contradicts an older one. In principal it could happen, though, that a new dogma only conditionally contradicts an old dogma, and so we would have to break things down into sub-dogmas, and... let's not go there yet.

Because this [PROPOSAL: 51% majority = dogma] didn't pass, any new proposal still needs all the players to agree.

Maybe because it gives this illusion of fairness? It would be interesting if we come up with a new and different working system.

Any idea about passing some kind of 'enlightened monarchy'? : ) Like: 2/3 of us can pass a Monarch. Monarch's cadency lasts 24/48 hours. Monarch needs at least 3 other people support to pass a dogma.
If new Monarch is not choosen after 24/48 hours, he \ she is choosen by random draw.

This is interesting... sort of related to an idea I was playing with: Everyone has a limited amount of voting power, and every proposal costs some, and so does every vote a player casts. So for example a player who proposes many dogma will somehow be less influtial while the voting takes place.

The voting power should replenish over time (but then we should limit the period of time within which a proposal is voted on - or the voting power that can be spent by each player depends on the voting power he/she has at the time of proposal.)

This meta-stuff is fun and all, we still need to come up with a way to decide who wins the game code. And by the way, can the initial dogma ("there is a game code to be won") be modified? How much is xyem bound by the dogmas?

All dogmas can be modified and I am bound by them as much as the players are (hence why I had to branch from Origin #0..), but I do have some veto power, so you can't just say "game codes for everyone on GOG!".

EDIT: So you can, for example, change it to 2 game codes to be won. However, as the dogma continue into the next game in the branch, if you raise the cost of dogma games too much for me, I won't be able to make them as often!

Interesting, but if we don't lower the % majority needed for a new dogma we won't acomplish anything.

First of all Bluemooner needs to take a look at the proposal from the first page (especialy at: xyem posts the actual number / names of players) because Erekose won't vote for any %majority unless this is cleared.
