If so I really like ask:

Should I get it now or wait until they release it with a second control stick?

Also does anyone have Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater for 3DS aswell?

As far as I know the way for it to be with a second stick is with the circle pad pro. No idea if that is available for the 3DS XL.

If they do release a new revision with the cpp integrated, wait for that.
So far the best games for the console are downloadable, Pushmo is a delight. Crashmo seems to be fun.

MGS3DS is MGS3 on the go with little details, like losing 3d vision when Big Boss loses his eye, but then again the MGS series is known for silly detail. I'd suggest getting it.
I don't think they will release it with a second analog stick, and even if they do it won't be anytime soon (Not that most games need that analog anyway). They just released a smaller revision in the form of 3DSXL and it has a separate second stick, just as the original 3DS did. The problem with adding it as a standard is one of both portability and being unable to change the current system architecture so much that it becomes another console.

So my opinion would be, just get it now.
Actually, I think the revision is bigger, 3ds extra large, haha. I have a first gen 3ds. Honestly, I am waiting for Etrian Odyssey 4 to be released so I finally get something besides the bundled Zelda 64
ehhhh I don't really expect another model, maybe when Monster Hunter 4 comes out there will be a bundle with the system, MH4, and the CPP add on (at least in Japan, dunno about in other regions).

The Etrian Odyssey on the DS bored me near death.
Finished it, but it was so damned flawed and repetitive.

Elmofongo: release it with a second control stick?
Given that they released the XL sans second stick, I think it'll be a good while before they release one with a second stick if ever.

Oh yes, and my brother has Snake Eater 3D and says it's great.

Or Pullblox and Fallblox... they're excellent either way though!

OK you guys sold me, I saw the Circle Pad Pro and I did not know it had a Triggers like the Xbox controller does.
I was really hoping the psp vita would be the next big thing but it's not looking like it. And I'm a big Monster hunter fan :/

Just weary of the DS since on my DS most games just feel ... less as the ones on the PSP, simpler and less deep somehow. And I read the Monster Hunter on the WII had less than the PS version.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is your answer

Sadly it does not have Akantor, Ukanlos, and Black Tigrex.
3DS XL comes with its own circle pad pro. It's a clunky solution and I'm hoping for another revision that includes all of these.
They probably won't make one with 2 sticks. they said that how the whole thing is designed it is practicly impossible to put another stick on it....

My daughter has one of the originals. The XL looks nice, but lack of games combined with uncertainty about there ever being a second analog stick keeps me from buying one myself. The only reason I have at this point is my DS Lites don't support WPA2 WiFi encryption, so Pokemon games are a lot harder to enjoy.

Thing is, I don't want a WII U, heck, few Nintendo franchises even interest me. I bought the DS for the Pokemon games (and Harvest moon and such is nice too).

And your comment already shows what I am worried about when it comes to Wii versions :/

That and I already played Monster Hunter 3rd a lot on my PSP ;)

Ultimate is on the 3DS as well.

The 3DS doesn't add WPA2 support to DS games anyway.
