...feel slightly relieved when the daily deals are either something you don't want or already have?

My backlog is huge, but I can't resist a good deal!

Yes.
Doesn't matter what the question is, if it begins with "Does anyone else" then the answer is usually yes.

Other than that, I fear for my wallet for when the good deals start coming.
Yes i feel that way about lots of deals. My backlog is too huge, my funds too low and my collector's heart too big...

Oh, yeah. I feel just the same way.

Consider yourself lucky. I haven't had any money since the promo started, and couldn't buy anything. Wish I had a backlog :((
I have a pretty firm policy about buying anything that isn't an RPG or FPS now-a-days and luckily (?) I already own most of the games in those genres on GOG.

So... yes?
Yes..most definitely. Been forcing myself to be a little pickier now as well.
It affects me a lot more this year, cause I don't have money to spend on games. Normally, I save up some to make sure I can get games I'd like while on the christmas specials, but w/ getting married, making the wife pregnant, and her stopping work for 4 months starting Jan, all while providing for a stepson...

The answer is Yes!!! I'm happy when it's something I don't want, cause then I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

PS- I love this community! yesterday there was the bullfrog deal w/ 2 games I wanted, but couldn't get due to current finances. Someone gifted them to me. I was able to give them a steam key for a duplicate of a game I already owned to say thanks, so it evened out. There are so many great hearted people here... Many blessings to you all!
I can't understand how they sell games in bundles for a minimum of $1.00. I just bought Black Mirror 2 & 3 and saw Ceville in another bundle for $1.00. No wonder people are buying these bundles.
yes I am kinda glad.

Desnt help that either of the games I am playing at the actually have an "end"
Yes. Exactly like that.

I think it comes down to the bundles being for Charity, so they are counted as "loss" by the companies, or, the percentage they get is more than they would otherwise. The smaller indie ones will get more buzz about their games that way and may increase sales.

For instance, an indie company nobody knows makes a game selling for $5 and only gets $1000 on normal sales. They then bundle it with a group, and make 10 cents per bundle. This bundle sells to people who wouldn't buy their game otherwise. Let's say the bundle gets them 8000 sales. They just got an additional $800 of sales by being in the bundle.

A larger company (suchas THQ) probably does it more as publicity, or gets a larger cut of profit. If you looked at the THQ bundle, it was set up to give THQ something like 65% of profits.

Publicity/advertising gets a name out there. It makes people wanting to buy it. I wouldn't have played half of the indie bundle games I own if it weren't for being bundled with 1 I wanted.

.... Oh, your question was rhetorical... lol...
I've been pretty good at resisting so far. No Bullfrog games, even though I only own Theme Park (but I hardly even play that one, I probably wouldn't have played the others either). So far no Witcher 2, despite the very tempting offer (but I can't even run TW1 and it's not likely to change next year). No FTL, as I'm not sure if it would run smoothly and if I would enjoy it, a demo would have helped.

Well, I treated myself to two games at 50% off, but those were titles I always meant to grab (even though I probably won't play them anytime soon; but I wouldn't exclude the possibility of playing them during the next year).

But ... I thought you had Sacrifice? Have you finally become tired of it? ;)
