I'm a fan of Doctor Who!
EX-TER-MIN-ATE!
*Sigh*...
These new ones aren't a patch on the stories of the proper Doctors -_-
Far too glitzy and Yankified (for sale over in the US) compared to ....let's say the latter 3 of the best ....Jon "Worzel Gummidge" Pertwee, TOM "Little Britain" BAKER!!!, Peter "What's he done since??" Davidson.
And where in the 7 circles of lower Hell did the BBC dig up Timothy Dalton from??? O_o

Have you seen Dalton???
The rest of what you said is butt hurt. If you really like someone in the role then don't watch Doctor Who.
I have no interest in Dr. Who, but Timothy Dalton was in a James Bond movie, so if he's in this, and it's like James Bond, count me in.

He's playing the leader of the evil, resurrected Galifreyan Timelords. He was voice-over man, narrating the episode....He's weathered a bit, but still looks good ^_^

I guess I'll give it a shot. I don't need to know much about Dr. Who to get what's going on, do I? All I know is it's a time-travelling sci-fi show where the lead actor can be changed due to some clever plot device and there's a British phone booth they fly around in.
I think I missed the first screening of "The Waters of Mars" here, so I have to wait for the re screening on Jan-1 before I get to this one. Knowing Australia and the delays, I'll be better off to call on the power of some UK relatives.
Holy shit, I'm there.
And John Simm, CATHERINE TATE, Billie Piper are in there as well!

The show can be unbelievably awesome. Or pure, utter garbage. Usually the ones where it says at the beginning "Written by Russell T. Davies" are worth skipping. If you see a lame one, give it a couple more tries, and you'll see what I mean.
Unfortunately, this one is written by RTD, so I'm not that tempted.

michaelleung: And John Simm

If you like John Simm you will be happy. So far no Rose but lots of Donna.

Thanks for reminding me... I nearly forgot. Now to check the local back alleys of the internet...

Delixe: Midnight? Utopia?

Exactly. Ugh. Thank you SO much for reminding me about Midnight... I thought I purged that one from my memory...
What annoyed me extra about Utopia is that he ripped off the absolutely STUNNING idea from "Human Nature"/"Brotherhood of Blood" and shoved it into his own weak story.
And on another thought... I don't get the crazy attraction to Rose... Martha was much more of everything, and Donna was way more fun. And don't even mention how he completely ruined Donna.
