I have many concerns. I disagree with higher pricepoints since gog never matches the caliber of steams sales as it is. Also, new price points being introduced before package prices is not good for consumers.

Lastly, gog specifically said the newer games would NOT be indie titles, and that is exactly what we have, all prices 3-5 times higher than the same titles sale price on steam.
I don't exactly care for the frozen gray bar on top. I know how to find my 'Home' key when I need it and I'd rather have that space to get more content in one screen.
Seems good to me. However, like grape1829 said above that grey bar is a little too bright, maybe it would look better black perhaps, or a darker gray?
What I just find hilarious now is that on that bar GOG.com is a lowercase gog.com...Makes me laugh at the memory of all those people who were annoyed at people who didn't capitalize it always. They must be just steaming out their ears right now! ;-P just kidding. ;)
Don't know why they just didn't rename it to: Great Outstanding Games, it still works, though not so catchy I suppose...Unless the games aren't going to be too outstanding or great that is. ;-D
I'm not too thrilled about it personally. I loved the fact that it was dedicated to older titles and would specifically mod them to work on modern systems. With the shift to selling newer games, the rate at which older games are released and the state in which they're released is inevitably going to suffer. While it's nice to have a mainstream digital distributor that only releases DRM-free games, I am sad that there's no longer a dedicated retro games digital distributor on the internet.

Still,as long as the lack of DRM and at least a token amount of older releases remains, I can't complain too hard.
I love that the new shelf finally lets you put games between games. Holy crap. I dislike that I lost my old order, but my games had been out of order for some time, so I'll survive.

dudalb: I am concerned about them gettng away from offering classic games in favor of the Indie games. I don't mind them offering them, but not at the expense of the classics.
The possibility exists, but well, it's their company. If they choose to extend their range of products we can hardly do anything about it. It doesn't have to mean that they give up gold games. Also they already said that they will continue with tons of old games. And with the increased profit from indies, it could even mean that the business is stabilized, the offering of classic games even made more sure. So, I say, let's wait and see. If somebody else will be adding DRM free classics faster than GOG then there is definitely an effect.
I like that you can hide the games you don't like on your shelf.
The My Account section genuinely needed improving and is much better now. The catalogue could use some more tweaking, but it's also better now. The new wishlist looks pretty good, and feels like it could finally do its job properly, but we'll have to wait and see about that.

I'm not a fan of the grey bar following me around; it could just as well stay at the top.

I'm disappointed that the forums are basically untouched. The subforum system needs revamping, many people want user profiles etc., not to mention the many advanced forum features it would be nice to have and which free forum solutions have been offering for ages.

So yeah, the hype was not really worth it, but that's GOG for you. But on the whole, I like the new GOG more than the old.

Tormentfan: The catalogue now defaults to bestseller list... I'm not interested in what everyone else is buying, and trying to put some influence on us that way is just a dick move.
I always changed it to bestselling, as I'm interested how games are selling (Legend of Grimrock is climbing up very fast).

I also like my account, except I don't like the fact that new bookshelf is not fully open at the start. But managing new bookshelf is much better. Also, ability to hide some games is ok, as some ppl asked to remove some games from their account.

I like the bar at the top, but I had to get used to it. I don't like the fact that news are on the left side now.

And finally, we have wishlist, and I like it.

No worries, everything will get some attention from us sooner or later, forums are not excluded :)
I like the new layout but i agree that the catalogue could use some tweaking and the forums as well.

if the catalog significantly increases in number i think it would be good of gog could come up with some way to make sure the games aren't lost in the crowd - by allowing you to sort the games available for purchase by, for example, developer, year of publishing, or alphabetically, etc

I thought it would, but it's good to have it confirmed by one of the blues :)
Yes, gog send you to the best seller list and they don’t round up their prices to the nearest $.

I'm not sure if the new way to sort the games shelf is an improvement or just different, it seems to come with its own small annoyances. It has a hide feature now that some people I'm sure will appreciate. It now re-directs us if we wish to rate the games instead of being able to do it from our games shelf. Top bar now follows us everywhere come hell or high water, I kind of like this one, saves on some scrolling.
Hi guys, my question is in relation to the new wishlist. Has anyone noticed that games you've previously voted for are showing up so you can vote for them again? Seems a bit strange (although the positive is that we could effectively double the amount of votes for the ones we want). I guess it's just a result of the new layout? EDIT - Looks like some games that previously had at least 100ish votes now have next to nothing. Did some less popular titles bite the dust with the revamp? If so that's a shame.

I like, but haven't gotten used to it yet. Could do with a couple of changes though.
