It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

bazilisek: With one of those link-shortening services (tinyarrows.com, bit.ly etc.), you can fit it into the 16-character forum title quite easily.
Tinyarrows is interesting, in that it uses unicode signs for the domain names.

Zandolf: That's my concern also. I hope I'm wrong but I think thats how it will work out in the long run.

TheEnigmaticT: ... games like Legend of Grimrock, which is certainly a new game, but if you like old classic dungeon crawlers why wouldn't you want to pick this up? It's a fantastic homage to greats like Eye of the Beholder or Dungeon Master. Even the new releases will tend to have that GOG.com feel.

We know what got us where we are today, and we're not going to throw it all away. Don't worry. ;)
Grimrock is a FPP game. I get motion sickness from them. Thats why I won't be picking that up. The older games like Dungeon Master didn't have the the L,R, Up Down scrolling you have in Grimrock. It's the sense of movement that makes me sick. Dungeon Master is the game that had the Broccoli looking things that you could eat, isn't it?

too long :(
Overall: Yes
It looks nice, it is easy to navigate, loads fast and just seem to work. So overall, thumbs up from me.

There are a few issues though. The game shelf is not as flexible, so it is harder to organize things properly, and when I get a notification that someone has quoted one of my posts, the old system that allowed me to go directly to that post don't seem to work properly

I see Baz suggested this as well. Silly alert system only tells me one of the replies :P

My answer is no.

I liked Good Old Games dot com.

I am not thrilled about Gee oh Gee dot com.

I am especially not thrilled to see the last three release days devoid of any Good Old Games. :-(

Actions speak louder than words and assurances don't mean much when on a Thursday after seeing only indies on Tuesday, what do we get but Machinarium, another indie?

Sorry but no, so far I don't like this "new" GOG at all.

As for the site I am glad they didn't change too much but I'd rather be able to easily organize my bookshelf as I see fit than have sorts for it. It would also have been nice if the site had been more thoroughly tested before the roll out with the leading browsers. I happen to use Firefox and have noted some anomalies that I imagine will get fixed eventually.

Yes I do. The more GOG grows, the more games they can release. I feel GOG must expand or they will not be profitable. Just in the little if been around I have noticed other direct download services expanding into GOG's market (It seems the D&D anthology is on sale everywhere all the time)

To me a healthy(profitable) expanding GOG will be good all around, releasing older games with TLC, newer games too that fit in the no DRM model, and a great community. A company must be mutually beneficial for both the customer and company. When GOG prospers we do as well.

etna87: I would prefer the headlines not to have pictures to make them more readable and skimmable.
I agree with Luned, it regret the old news system. It was immediate to determine by the title if the news was interesting or not.

We did not have to read the awfully long monologue about "we at GoG know how you like.... we are crazy like...." and the full description of the game.

I will miss the time when the title said it all and when there was no picture to reduce the visibility
