On June 29, I sent a gift (ultima 7) to someone. However, they later revealed they already had a copy of ultima 7, so I resent it to a friend. Today, while checking my bank info, I noticed I had a charge of $2.99 (the price of U7 during the summer sale), and another charge of $2.99 from 6/29. I did not buy anything else on June 29. My question is did I get charged again for resending the game?

It depends on how you resent it...

Did you go here and send the gift code to your friend?
Or did you click "gift this to a friend" on the game's page?

The first would not cause a charge to occur.
The second would cause a charge to occur and you would have had to enter your credit card info again...

If you sent the gift code you already had bought, then no, you're not charged (you already paid for it earlier).
If you bought another copy to send (as adambaiser's second example), then yes, you would naturally be charged again (you did buy another copy, after all).

I did not buy a second copy. I went to my "gifts" tab, and then entered my friend's email when I hit the "resend" button.

Hmmm...well, I'm going to have to talk with my bank or something. Maybe I send in a support ticket to GOG for this one. It'd be nice to have an account transactions page on GOG like steam does.

I bought 3 copies of the game for a giveaway I was doing. Three charges of $2.99 appear on my bank account, but then a 4th charge appeared last night

nope. For obvious reasons, I don't want to post a screenshot with my bank or account info on a public forum-even if I did censor it- but three copies were sent, but I was charged for four.

This is probably just a bug, contact support and they'll see you through it.

Do you mean another $2.99 charge? I can only see the three, but it's possible that another $2.99 was blocked on your account by your bank, for some reason. Banks typically release such blocked (pending) funds after a few business days.
Other than these three $2.99 charges, I can only see the different amount, which was charged during a subsequent purchase.
I don't want to give out too many details, so if this doesn't match what you can see on your bank account, please drop me a PM and we'll figure it our privately. :)
