tinyE: I got Tyrian and Teen Agent gifted to me yesterday. :D
Again?

P1na: I personally use these sales to recharge my gift inventory. I'm probably going to hold back on this one though, and so I only got 5 DX copies this time.
Great! So if I want a copy I know where to go! :D

I'm joking, I'm joking. :P
I've gifted a couple games during sales, other times I've bought some games that came up cheap and gave them away later on during a more calm period.

Just depends on the mood I guess.

I make regular Deus Ex giveaways, yes. So you do know where to go, and I'm not joking.
I tried to do 2 giveaways away from huge sales, but GOG declined my request anyway. Thus, one was going on in the middle of the Insomnia sale and the other in the middle of the Summer sale. Figures.
People gift when they can. Plus this sale is going for 15 days, so it's fair gifting will likely be spread out.

Also, I believe others might be saving their gifts for the THE BIZARRELY BONZA BONANZA BAZAAR OF BAZOOKERY! ...GIVEAWAY! Just a hunch ;-)

Will have a few for that one and some for my own giveaways :)

I wish I had money and a credit card like most gifters. I want to contribute more tot he community, but life and school are expensive. O_o Especially since I moved to USA. What the hell have people been smoking here? School is more expensive than a freaking Lamborghini.

Well someone in the government must've consumed some crack, because you have to pay a ton of money to get through a good school and make a good to great living.

There are certainly other ways to contribute in the community. Just by participating in the forums, answering questions for those seeking help and/or advice is greatly needed. :)

If you have it in you, then the quality of the school makes no difference. Granted, situational circumstance, funding etc have a part to play, but if you want to learn, you learn. No school can prevent you - and if you're currently in the US, then the system cannot either. :)

As to your OP, yes they do - but i doubt a thread like this will make any request you make look good (for the record).

I didn't make any request though. I was just curious because very few, if any, of the users who request a gift in the GOG gifting thread actually edit their post and say whether they received the gift or changed their mind. I already got 2 gifts, so I won't be requesting another for a long time. Can't allow my backlog to grow again. I'm steadily making it smaller.
However, I still participate in giveaways. the chances of winning are very random mostly.

EDIT: And since few edit their posts, this can create confusion and a person can receive a gift multiple times, reducing the chances of others to receive a gift.

I realise that, but you also said you were hesitant to post in the gifting thread. MY post wasnt an attack / being shitty. Just stating, that a thread like this will raise some eyebrows in the wrong way, but also, they do gift when they see / feel the need. :)
