This is a local democracy for local people!

Stretching the very meaning of the word "democracy", DLC: Democracy 3: Extremism has won the popular vote, with the help of the Electoral College, and has been passed into law on GOG.com for only $4.99!

Winston Churchill once stated that "the best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter". While we cannot say whether he was completely right, we can say that after a few rounds of our own play through of [url=http://www.gog.com/game/democracy_3]Democracy 3, we were seriously looking into installing a dictatorship, for efficiency's sake. The original game would not let us become the dictators we secretly dreamed of being in the depths of our collective cold, black hearts.

Fortunately, Positech Games realized that sometimes everyone needs to go to extreme lengths to ensure one's country doesn't fall apart at the seams. Enter DLC: Democracy 3: Extremism. With new policies and situations that veer either to the far left or the far right, you too can now pass into law the most extreme policies. Want to make reciting the national anthem before breakfast a requirement? Or how about banning divorce or private education? Care to see whether you can ban any and all immigration into your country? You have the freedom and the right to bring in the policy you desire, whether The People like it...or not.

Vote early, vote often, and in as many districts as possible for the best candidate in Democracy 3: Extremism, only $4.99 a vote on GOG.com!
So now I can be a Liberal Leftist and call for CEOs to be punished by sending them to work in Indian factories?

Yes, and I can be the conservative who gives CEO's raises while shipping jobs to Chinese factories.

Oh wait, I already know how that turns out.
Just got Democracy 3 for free in the Insomnia sale (was trying to buy it, thanks GOG!). So now I've bought this. A good day indeed. :)

The plan works. Give away the base game for peanuts and then people will buy the DLC full price. Ingenious.

Thanks for the info, you can indeed play as Poland in the first Democracy game. I have actually made some research and found out there are some mods available which supposedly allow you to play as Poland in Democracy 3 as well (for those interested, check the mod section at Positech's main website).

True but you won't get to play in our current political climate :P
I really wonder as to when we'll be seeing more Positech games here like Gratuitous Tank Battles, Kudos, etc. Democracy 3 does look like an interesting game, but it isn't for me.

Not yet. :P

Eastern Ukraine, Western Ukraine, Poland. It's always worked like that; since the days of the Commonwealth. It's kind of amusing, my mothers side is alternately Polish, Russian, or Ukrainian, depending on what time in history we're looking at. I think the general consensus these days is we're Ukrainian, we like Poles, and we're going to be Russian; which is even more amusing when one notes that they live in Canada.
