Is this some sort of advanced version of cel-shading? It almost looks like rotoscoping with cartoonish animation.

It's a new CGI technique designed to emulate hand drawn animation by using, surprise surprise, hand drawn animation. They digitally animate the basics, then layer traditional animation cels over top before tweaking it all into a coherent image.

It looks absolutely amazing in my opinion. I would love to see a full feature in the style, it's nice to see Disney Animation Studios start to catch up to Pixar.

Agreed. Even beyond my video game bias, Wreck-it Ralph was great. Brave was good, but it definitely didn't make up for Cars 2.

Never heard of either of those. Guess they never got a JPN release.

Paperman on the other hand was lovely. I would suggest that those who want to see it do so soon as Disney could pull it from YouTube at any time. Hopefully they won't, but the last winner was pulled within a week.

I think the Pixar Dinosaur movie will finally cleanse them of Cars 2's stench.

*ears perk up* Oh, really? Haven't heard anything about a dinosaur movie before. Also, I agree that nothing can make up for the sorry excuse of a Pixar movie Cars 2 turned out to be.

Or you could always save it to your HDD. I love that little DownloadHelper extension I have for Firefox. Makes saving flash videos a breeze. :)

I already did. Doesn't change the fact that once it's gone from YouTube, it'll be difficult to get a hold of (legally), unless you downloaded it before it was removed.

That actually looked better than I had expected. The plane thing reminded me of the IF game Monday, 16:30 -- I wonder if it's meant to be a retelling of that story or both works refer to an earlier book/movie.

I don't know for Brave (but i think it had one) but Wreck it Ralph might be coming in March or April in Japan...
