SimonG: Stupid, but honest question.
If a game (movie/TV show) interests you, why do you try to find out about it as much as you can beforehand?
Won't that spoil most of the initial entertainment such a game might offer. Ever since I started to read absolutely nothing about any game I haven't played yet, I've enjoyed the immensely more.
Especially LP, which I consider completely pointless anyway (watching a game... what's next, dancing to architecture?), usually only spoil a game without giving any indication on how it feels to play it.
The opinion of this forums is more than enough to know if a game is worthy to check out. And the real turd ratio has gone down massively in recent years anyway.
This is why I will avoid any footage of this game, as I've already know enough to make me buy it. (Arkane Studios).
My thoughts exactly.
I didn't really think about it to start with, but I always used to research a game as much as possible before I played it (like Crysis, Bulletstorm, COD etc.) but I always wondered why I wasn't enjoying them as much as I had when I played diffrerent ones a while ago. Now ofc I now it was when I played the older ones, I never had an internet connection so I just played it.
Now that I know that I do not research it more than what type of game it is, but I think it is a bit late now.
