Elmofongo: Can I ask do you think Saints Row the Third would have been better with countryside included.
Not sure countryside fits that game's personality.
Splinter Cell Conviction disappointed me.
It was much more of an action game then a stealth game.

Well would have liked countryside because the city is to limiting for vehicles imo, I want to ride a motor cycle in a more open enviornment.

reaver894: Im sure its more fun in real life than a video game. Surely there are sex shops in Poland
When I lived in Poland I passed by 2 in one 15 minute bus journey so there must be loads.
Unfortunatly the bus didn't stop at them :(

Hesusio: I'd be happy if it would let you whip it out in the middle of a date. Personally, that's one of my best moves. Being on a date and not being able to do that completely ruins my immersion.
First I was like 'WTF' then I look left and saw 'From Australia' and it all made sence ;-P

mondo84: It's funny, I rather like both Zelda 2 and Mario 2. Well, Zelda 2 was really tough and frustrating at times, but I liked how they did something different. And Mario 2 was just kind of weird, but still familiar enough

hedwards: The main problem with SMB2 was that it deviated from the original in significant ways, but didn't really add anything compelling to make it worth it. The Lost levels at least were more in keeping with the original SMB.

Zelda 2, was a product of the time. I think if they were doing the same game today, they wouldn't have needed to throw in all that find secret spot X that we won't hint you need to find stuff. Other than that, it wasn't too bad. Although, I don't think I ever managed to quite beat it.

I did not like Quake 3 or any of those other games where the developers decided that they could just substitute multiplayer for a competent SP AI and a good campaign. Also, I disliked that Return to Castle Wolfenstein stealth BS and Doom3 in general.

They don't make me hate the original games, but I think they should have gone back to the drawing board on those.

Starcraft 2 did however make me hate the original game. I think what happened there is that it revealed just how much the original was lacking and how badly it's aged.
Yeah, the non Japanese SMB 2 was actually a re-skinned Japanese game that was considered to be 'too Japanese' for Western consumption so they made it into a Mario instead

Personal pet peeve: Resident Evil The Darkside Chronicles. The Umbrella Chronicles was a wonderful rail shooter. There was a lot of planning involved in figuring out how to net the best score, there were plenty of tactics to learn, the difficulty curve was just right, and replaying levels to try and perfect your approach was unexpectedly addicting. The Darkside Chronicles was not. My chief complaints include a wobbly camera that made aiming a chore even when standing still, far too many uneventful sequences where the characters were simply walking forward and talking, useless grenades, bosses that would inexplicably stop taking damage for certain stretches of time without any warning, and a slew of other little missteps made in the name of making it more "cinematic." While I don't think it's a horrible game (although not particularly great), I found it to be extremely disappointing after the first.

I really, really love that name. "Doki Doki Panic." It's just...sublimely ridiculous.

Commandos 3. That's about the only one I can think of. It had a few things that could have made it good, but a lot more stuff that made it not so good. The unnecessary rise in difficulty from Commandos 2 was annoying.

That's the only sequel that I can think of that is disappointing compared to the original. As far as I can remember, every sequel I have played I have either enjoyed more than the original, or just as much.

Amen to that. I still played it through because I loved the series but introducing "timed" levels really pissed me off. One of the things I loved about 1 and 2 was being able to take your time, creep around, and come up with a solution witout a stupid deadline hanging over you.
Dungeon Siege 3. While I loved the first 2 games, playing the demo of the third really pissed me off. The mechanics etc just were too different. It would've been better if it wasn't a Dungeon Siege game, but rather a new IP.

SimonG: ...pretty much is already laid out there with the fact that you are playing a Native American supporting the colonial uprising that this won't go will, therefore I hopefully won't spoil that much.
As a sort of history buff one thing that annoyed me was Conner, a native american, helping the Americans against the British. The native americans helped the british in the uprising as the colonies wanted to expand further into native lands and the British promised to stop them. Also, the British being perceived as the bad guys annoyed me especially after the facts I just mentioned.
I didn't actually play much of the game only seen a friend playing so if there's a plot twist don't spoil too much please.

We were a part of Britain at the time so technically the British are Irish, make sense? :)

Hesusio: Even if the only change is getting rid of that horrible dating/friendship mechanic, it would be a far better game.

Elmofongo: The only way for the Dating mechanic to be better is if they show the sex, or better yet make the women hot.

I cannot believe I am saying this but GTA needs more attractive women, all their strippers character models are just ugly and the Love Meet girls that you can date are not really interesting to me.
Do you really want to fap to GTA strippers?

It was a joke. I guess it would have worked better if you were from Scotland :P

I did not with San Andreas Strippers, now I would feel sorry for anyone who did.
