StingingVelvet: Deflecting the fact that console games lose out too by mocking boobs doesn't make you look witty, just ignorant.

If you think PC is where content is being lost you're naive. And when we do lose it at least we have an open platform which makes it possible for the community to preserve it. Try that on XBOX.
Thank you greatly for furthering my point.... like always. This is the reason people hate PC gamers right here... people like you with your bullshit elitist attitudes. I play games on both platforms... & as such I don't have my head completely stuck up my ass & realize that both forms have their pluses & negatives... unlike elitists like you who talk down on console gamers. I could sit here & hurl insults at you like you are attempting to do towards me, but (outside of stating the obvious) I am better than that. Good day, sir.

Erm, he just pointed out that with PC, fans can restore stuff. Mods, for instance, are unavailable for consoles. I see no elitist attitude from him, so no need to get all defensive and all...
I purchased Guild Wars 2 a couple of months ago, excited to finally get my hands on this one. I was supremely disappointed. It just wasn't that fun to me.

Yes... because calling someone ignorant is polite, non confrontational fun.
F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn. Holy shit was this DLC terrible.

I called you ignorant because you blew off concerns about lost items because of their content.

You called me elitist and other such shit because I pointed out a clear difference in platforms. Way to go.

Max Payne 3 gets my vote. Wasn't totally terrible, but I found myself just plowing through it to get it over.

I'm surprised no one had mentioned The War Z yet. Maybe I'm the only one who bought that piece of shit. :)
I brought Borderland and Rage. Just the first level and it's bored me to death.

Rage introduction to the player's character is way too low, I don't know why the game developer are just too damn hurry to get to the action. You just wake up from a sleep chamber and you get to kill bandits within minutes? F*ck! I have to play Fallout 3 just to shake the Rage's stupidity.

Borderland is boring also. The game has humor and has a pretty graphics, but the environment and gameplay is bland. I don't think I'll touch Borderland 2.

Fortunately my purchases here in Gog is much more satisfying and I enjoy lot's of it. Especially Freespace 2.
I've got more...

Mutant Mudds. I get what the game is trying to do. I get why people like it. It's not for me. The controls are a bit too rigid, and the best way I can say it is to compare the way it handles to a stereotypical freeware platformer. It's stereotyping and I hate the comparison, but it's the best thing I can compare it to.

And the fact that it handles that way makes it lack quite a bit. I found it really hard to make it across platforms that blink in and out of existence. More so than it probably should have been.

Then there's the character's general speed, which bothered me. Especially since it seemed to emphasize getting the best times. Fighting for the best times + slow character = an odd overall feel to gameplay.

Descent 3. I bought it to play co-op with everyone here, but it only works on my computer. Three other computers (two with Win7, one with Win8 RC) can't run it. :<

On 25th i bought DOOM Classic Collection on PS3. Brilliant, Improved, Enhanced, Fixed port of all that is DOOM 1 and 2, combined in one single title where you can access them all.

On 31st I saw the same thing on Steam. Same logo, same name. Even though I have all DOOM on PC retail, i said why not, and bought it as well.
BUT, this was no Classic Collection, nothing improved, enhanced or added, just the old ports of 4 single titles. Plus they all have some issues and are terible to play. Al least I got a refund for that crap.

Rage is a shooter. Not an RPG. My biggest gripe initially was along the same lines. But once you realize that RAGE is closer to DOOM than to Fallout it becomes a good shooter with some nice fluff to do around.
It was Rages ending that killed the game for me i was like eh and thats it.
Max Payne 3. I feel ashamed I gave any money to Rockstar and thus gave also an indirect approval of creating it. However, MP1 & 2 are standalone episodes, so I'm glad I still can enjoy them and anything MP3+ simply ignore.

Sadly, I can't say that about a certain end of interconnected trilogy, Mass Effect 3. It retroactively ruined the protagonist and excitement about any sequel for me.

Roman5: 2012 overall was underwhelming for me in general overall, might as well rename it to "Year of the Backlog"
This sums it up nicely. I had a good luck buying and/or playing many enjoyable classic and indie pre-2012 games.

Yes I know, but Metro 2033 was much better in introduce you to the game world. Your game character is important, npc's are appreciative and show you respect. You get to interact with them and the developer's are not in a hurry to shove you into action. I think Rage failed in this aspect, it was just a straight shooter and nothing else. And I see why they throw the game in the bargain bin, when the other game that come along with the same year or the year before hardly touch the 50% discount sale.
I played Fallout 3 immediately because how Rage or Borderland have a similar game world but not an open one. I could play Fallout as a straight shooter and totally immerse my self in the game world and every minute is enjoyable experience.
