Yeah, something I don't really want to do on the forums.

But as it is. I'm about fed up with it all for now. I can't even get a fucking email account set up with the damn thing. I just don't see why server CPs have to fucking over complicate everything.

And I'm *this* close to just cutting my losses and saving myself all the hassle (and hosting costs).

So the only way Didimatic is going to be able to come back is if I can find someone capable of setting up the server. I've tried, and even following support articles to the letter, it's still not working.

So if someone here has a lot of experience with Linux and can set up what is essentially a LAMP server with a CP (for managing Cron jobs and email, etc.) let me know and I'll give you more details. I can't pay much I'm afraid (perhaps a couple of GOGs or sommat over a couple of months).

Have you considered one of those complete LAMP packages?

Right, most of the stuff required to get the site back up and running has now been sorted out. However, there's still a problem with the mail system. So if anyone knows how to configure a postfix mail server, I could probably use your help as I can't get the darn thing to receive or send email.

As far as I can tell, yes.

Actually, nope. Not just the mail system. Mod_rewrite rules are refusing to work too.

Okay, I'm far balder now than I was this morning, but it seems things are now ready to move ahead and get the back up files online.

I'll be doing that at some point tomorrow.

RIght. Didimatic should once again be up and running. There *might* be a problem with logging in on the main site, but I don't have the time right now to check that. So if you experience anything odd please let me know and I'll try to find time to fix it tonight.
