TheEnigmaticT: with better products and a more varied selection.
But will it sell GOGbooks?
avatar
TheEnigmaticT: We took down the cafepress site a while back as it was so neglected it was kind of tragic. We'll be bringing back a merchandising option in a few months--it's not really a priority--with better products and a more varied selection.
Thank you so much!

Inquiring minds need to know. I wants one!

Weclock: it says the image is broken in picasa. :C
That's... because it's not an image?

Given that the only GOGBook ever made was crafted by dwarves in the fires of Mount Doom (or possibly by TheEnigmaticT in the parking lot; the details escape me), I'm not sure how we'd merchandise such a thing. :P

Weclock: And I'm so proud when I wear my GOG shirt, it is my favorite shirt. It makes me so happy to wear it, nobody has asked me about it, but I wear it proudly when I go out.
I'm sure if we ever sell the "I Like it Cheap & Unprotected" shirts, people will ask plenty of questions. :P

I like the fact that TheEnigmaticT refers to himself in the third person :-D

But you didn't answer my question. Will it ship from the EU?

If it's just another American (or otherwise non-EU) service, then it will be prohibitively expensive for EU residents to buy anything there, due to VAT, tolls and fees being added to the final cost. If that's the case, I don't want to get my hopes up. If you don't know, just say so, but it's no use "keeping it a secret". That will just result in a lot of customers who are more disappointed than they would have been, had they known about it beforehand.

And you still haven't answered my question.

Will the new store ship from the EU?

As I said earlier, "I don't know" is a perfectly valid answer (if it happens to be true). Simply ignoring the question makes it seem like you don't want to answer it.

I dunno. It's not that I was ignoring you. It's that I didn't see the question. :">

To my knowledge, we haven't even selected a storefront yet. I'll be sure to keep that in mind when we do, though.

I thought that asking while quoting you, twice, would be enough ;-p

Please do. Of course, it's not certain that you can actually find one that you're happy with, and if you find one that only ships from the EU, your non-EU customers will likely have the same problem. Sometimes, you can't please everyone, which is perfectly understandable. But it's good to be aware of the problem, so you can make an informed decision when the time comes.

I kept coming into the thread and other people had replied to me. So I thought that was what had flagged the thread. Sorry. :(
