I was very happy when gog started it's service allowing indie devs to submit their games, I think gog is an ideal home for such games. Unfortunately so far my only experience with it is this:

Maybe the game this dev presented is not good enough, that's totally fine. But 3 weeks with absolutely no word from Gog? This does not bode well...
From an interview on Sept. 20:
"IG: Have any games been published through that open submissions process yet? Are there any upcoming?

TL: Not yet. It’s been just a touch over a month. Give us a little time; we have a few games from the submissions process that are nearly ready, I do believe."

The thing is, some of the recent games (5 Indie Games Bundle, Smugglers V, etc.) may have come here through that process, but we just don't know because no one said anything.

Rest assured we'll keep seeing indie games appear here.

Hmm, from my usual applying experiences this would mean that they aren't interested. But then this thing has started only recently so one should give it more time to develop a more professional feedback loop. Just ask them what's going on. I would even try to call them.

1) 3 weeks is not a lot of time. We want GOG to thoroughly review the games, after all. Patience, young grasshopper.

2) If anything, lengthy wait times mean that GOG is swamped. They got a ton of submissions and are now having to deal with them all.

If there's one indie game that belongs on GOG it's Knights of the Chalice. I know there are members of the GOG staff who like it a lot, and up until now the dev has been very reluctant towards the idea of selling his game anywhere else than on his website. If he applied and GOG did not react at all, that would be very weird indeed .

Then again, other devs have claimed that GOG rejected or ignored their game when GOG apparantly hadn't even received their e-mail ...

They didn't contact GOG about KotC as far as I can tell, but one called Battle of the Sands.

So when it's going to be a flood? :p
I ❤love❤ how the guy offers a game about megacorps duking it out immediately above a libertarian tract.

As for KotC, I bet the dev wants to keep it priced at $20.

And all the classics will be lost in time like a golden shower in the river...
