What's next? Offline single player?

Shinook: What's next? Offline single player?
Nope - Diablo 3 on GOG. :p
I'd pay $5.99 for it.
Gee, aren't they glad they made the game always-online, making people like me refuse to buy it?
What's Diablo 3? ;-P
I spent most of today playing D2 and loving every second of it, so please excuse me while I take a second to LAUGH MY ASS OFF!!!! XD
What, no more battle.net - ebay?
Wait, so why should it be always-online NOW?

Because if it was not, you'd be unable to be killed by lag. Now that's the way to go!
Now give PC players a damn offline mode like you did the console versions.
Another blow to always online DRM. Surely it's pretty much a dead concept now? (outside of the obvious)

The funny and sad fact is that the pretty much only DRM that kinda sorta works is the always-online one. Not that it makes it any more acceptable, of course.

It may still seem lucrative to some, because it did stop cracking of the game. At least in Diablo's case. Sim City on the other hand got cracked fairly quickly.
"it ultimately undermines Diablo's core game play: kill monsters to get cool loot."

So does lag. Gives us offline play and you'll get my money.

I take it you are joking, right?

Stopping cracking is one thing. But in my mind, stopping people wanting to buy the fucking thing at all is more significant.
