boct1584: Sorry I never showed up, wound up with stuff to do around the house. What level did everyone reach? I'll play a bit by myself to prep for the next time.
Don't worry about it. The highest level is currently 17 (me). Lone3Wolf reached level 16, and 011284mm level 13, if I'm not mistaken. No idea about the rest.

Act one is finished, and there has been the suggestion to continue tonight, at the same time as yesterday.

Edit: Oh, and we are playing on the Closed B.net now (no Ladder).

Why not Ladder? There's no disadvantage to it, and (for me at least) a number of runewords which are important if not critical to a CL/Orb Sorceress are ladde-only. (Specifically, Spirit is important, and Insight (for an Act 2 merc) is critical.)

Well, we originally wanted to play on the Open B.net, but there were some problems to get the game running. So, we moved to the Closed B.net.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, the current ladder-season should end sometime next month. Once the new season begins, I have no problem with starting new ladder-characters.

Still, I think we can make do without the ladder-only runewords for now. Reaver894 can skill Conviction with his paladin. I will definitely take Lower Resist with my necro, and try to get the Beast runeword for the Fanaticism aura.
Whoops! I didn't realize Blizzard had gotten onto a 6-month rotation of ladder resets.

I'll just wait for that, then.
I've retooled my Fire Sorceress into Ice. For crowd control in that hot desert :P
Game is already up.

We are in act 2 tonight
We have finished act two in the last session. My necro has still the highest level (24), but 011284mm's and Lone3Wolf's characters are close behind (23).

Edit: Next sessions are every weekend (Friday to Sunday), 9:30 pm CEST.

We are in Act 3 today.
In the last session, our party managed to finish both act three and four. Lone3wolf's sorceress reached level 26, while my necromancer reached level 28.

Overall, I'm quite impressed with the speed, with which we managed to finish those two acts. 3.5 hours in total.

On the other hand, I'm also a bit scared by the difficulty of some of the encounters (especially the Council, Mephisto's guards, some of Diablo's guards, and Diablo himself). I'm only used to SP (where I use the /players switch to set the number of players to eight), so I don't know if this is normal for MP, or if we were underleveled/underequipped.

Ive had a systems screwup requiring a format and thus lost my save. I was severely behind anyway so I am afraid I wont be joining you in the near future

Characters on the Realms are stored server-side, which is one of the benefits to it.

The more people in the party, the stronger the foes get, so yeah, it's normal for MP as well.

We probably are somewhat under-equipped (I know I, and my Bitch rogue are to say the least), for some fights, but the right skills-use gets us through them, mostly in one piece.... >.<
