oasis789: I hope they can now get to fixing DXHR DC.
What needs to be fixed in DC?
Not planning on spending any money on this after the debacle that the director’s cut was/is. Fortunately I didn’t spend any money for the DC. I was very close though because I love Deus Ex Human Revolution and its DLC, The Missing Link. Luckily I waited and read some reviews and comments first. Apparently, Eidos messed up the Director’s Cut for PC tremendously. And they haven’t fixed it till today. So, again, I’m not spending any further money on a Square Enix/Eidos game and rather stay with the original Deus Ex Human Revolution.
The Fall is fun but very short; I finished it in about five hours (including all the side missions I could find). PC features are lacking--in particular the controls can't be remapped--but performance and load times are good. I didn't have any noteworthy glitches (just the occasional visual clipping during takedown/vaulting animations) and it never crashed.

The Human Revolution look and feel is retained despite the mobile limitations so it's definitely worth a look if you're a fan but you'll probably want to wait for a sale since there isn't that much content for the asking price (although there is a New Game Plus feature that keeps unlocked weapons and augmentations). The ending says the story will continue although there has been nothing ever since the game first launched on iOS last year; perhaps something will actually happen now that the PC version has been released.

What's wrong with the DC? I haven't played any game of the series yet, but I recently bought HRDC for the sake of completeness and because I heard HR was good and I thought the DC was just the complete package, including the DLC. Is it significantly different than the base game and the DLC on its own? Did they change the story, introduce new bugs?

I have Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut as well, I haven't played it yet, but from what I understand, the DLC made it possible to use stealth for major boss encounters as well. Outside of those changes, I don't know what the DLC affects.

It*'s got to be more than that as CatShannon said (s)he loved the DLC, too, so according to that the Director's Cut seems to be more (or less) than the sum of HR + DLC?
sqaure enix really botched both recent deus release , the directors cut has about 200 bugs and issues to be fixed listed in the forums and the fall is said to be a major buggy release .

things dont look for good at all for eidos with the thief bombing as well due poor ai and issues

Actually when I said "DLC", I mean Director's Cut. That's what I get for trying to type while eating pizza at four in the morning. But yeah, the Director's Cut seems to be the base game plus the DLC, and it integrates the The Missing Link DLC into the main story, it's also supposed to allow stealth/hacking in boss encounters, improved A.I. and better graphics. At least, that's my current understanding, and is based entirely on what I've just read.

Aside from a few game changes, which in general sound quite positive, like for example the revamped boss fights, the developers somehow managed to introduce loads of bugs like performance issues and most noticeable graphical glitches and anomalies. The official and the steam forums are full of examples/complaints. And as far I can see, not much has been changed in this regard.
I played through the Human Revolution Director's Cut version. Didn't notice any bugs or whatnot. The only change that I noticed was that it turned the boss fights from infuriating messes into minor inconveniences that I wouldn't have even complained about if they had been like that in the original.
...and there was that Missing Link integration too.

Played it on my old computer, so if there were serious performance issues, they didn't affect my 5 years old PC.

There are quite a few issues with the Director's Cut, see this thread (also has a bunch of screenshots showing reduced detail/quality issues): http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=140084

Edit: These are the posts that have screenshots showing the reduced detail/texture/lighting issues with the Director's Cut:

Also, the Eidos forums. The best evidence are the screenshot comparisons.

They should add "DE:HR is a Steam-only-release" to the list of issues.
not srue if its been mentioned but if you get it from here you get limited time get Deux Ex GOTY for free - which i admit isnt great for the fans as they would already have it.

oh and i had to go into my local store manually to find it, the normal www.deusex.com/thefall‎ is not updated yet to link through to their page for the steam purchase.

yes this is a cross post from the deals thread but meh.

GastonArg: this game is very linear,
Can't agree here, it's very much a normal Deus Ex game in this respect. You can move about the city districts as you choose and do missions in whatever order. The levels have a lot of different paths to get where you want to go, multiple entrances, etc. It's not any more linear than Invisible War.
