StingingVelvet: The story made sense to me without the novel other than wondering how the two main characters met and became friends, which they hint at but don't explain. Everything else is pretty simple and straightforward.
Thx, I'm probably grab this during the Summer Sale, or something.

benderz: The second hour is much better ! It's not Human Revolution, but it's not unpleasant finally.
avatar
Fenixp: They should quote that on the game's page. "After the first hour, it's finally not unpleasant"
LOL It'll become definitely my Steam review.

I just add something to this "review"

WTF: I have a question to those that played it. Is the story just "Icarus Effect" (google it) put in a game, or is it something more? Not asking for spoilers mind you.
avatar
Nergal01: AFAIK it's a sequel to the novel.

Which is why I'm a little apprehensive about buying this. I'm not sure I want to read that novel just to understand the game.
Oh that's awesome. I actually liked the novel. Nothing great, but it keeps the right mood. Thanks.
The Fall made something good : I'm back for Human Revolution ! Let's start a new run in Deus Ex difficulty, without any help for loots and navigation, and no cross air. After 2 hours I completely forgot The Fall !

Haha, I did the same thing. Trying to finally get that ghost achievement.

Shame the Director's Cut is still a broken mess though. Playing the original.

When they Removed the "amber" color that created the Super Bloom effect!
I haven't played Deus Ex: Human Revolution yet, i have it but it won't run on my shabby PC with onboard graphics. But i love the first 2 games and will probably buy Deus Ex: The Fall when it's on sale, seems like an at least somewhat decent game.
I'm getting a new PC later this year so i'm looking forward to play 2 more Deus Ex games.

How is the Director's Cut broken?

Dude Dude You only need to buy a PciE 3d card for it!!!

uk.ts.fujitsu.com/rl/servicesupport/techsupport/professionalpc/ESPRIMO/E/EsprimoE5915-6.htm

Either 1 PCI Express x16 (lo pro), 2 x PCI (lo profile), 1 PCI Express x1 (lo profile)
OR 1 PCI Express x16 (lo profile) & 2 x PCI (full height via riser card)

and add more ram too!

Lenovo GeForce 605 1GB DMS59 Graphics Card

Nope, that won't work. First of all there are only a few Low Profile cards that will work with my mainboard, IIRC it only supports cards with max. 256 MB VRAM. That's not good enough to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Besides my Mainboard seems faulty, fried two graphic cards in 4 weeks.
I'll just wait a few more months and play it on my new PC.

Maybe Squeenix will tweak the graphics and release Deus Ex: The Fall - The Missing Link
