Never had a problem with that. It's like saying that running a game in a window completely ruins immersion. Maybe these things bother some people, but they don't bother me.

As for the game, I'm sorry that it's not coming to Android (yet?) but I'm happy that Square Enix is trying to bring this world and advanced touch gameplay to mobiles.

And by the way, the video showed a third person view, so classifying this as FPS is misleading.

Edit: Just saw Cormoran's link. I'm happy that this is coming to Android. I'll be waiting for reviews.

I find it kind of tasteless that MS seems to be marketing XBox console gaming in Win8, as if that's where I should be playing my non-mobile games. I guess it is a bit similar case.
MS have never been known for their great taste. Never in their entire history.

Right now, they just want people to fall in line and buy the windows tablets (the only compelling thing on there is Office) and play on xbox. PCs? Screw them! Die! Die! The faster, the better. Captive (cloud) computing like in the mainframe times For. The. Win!. Woohoo baby! Progress and innovation!

But we digress from bashing Square Enix for being greedy. I really hope it flops big time so they never, ever do this shit again. However, I'm quite sure it will sell a ton of copies.

Got excited and then immediately disappointed.
Don't own a mobile anything.
Oh well...more Deus Ex, regardless of what device its on is always a good thing.

Its yet another quick cash grab in the mobile market ( Activision & EA have already had a go). However this is a FPS, sincerely doubt it will work/....properly...

I don't care about missing out here, I would never play this type of game with touch controls anyway. What I care about is them acting like a real new game was coming and then tossing this garbage out.

Maybe we see a real announcement at E3.
