Ok guys, I know I said I would host another giveaway when DX went on sale again, but I wasn't expecting another one this soon. So I'll have to eat my word, sorry. But I'll leave the 3$ trade open again, in the meantime.
Spacechem is indeed good. However, it's basically programming, and after programming for work I don't usually feel like programming more on a game. so I haven't gotten too far with it.
Glad to see you enjoying it, Rodzaju. To answer your questions, you will find some chargers around, but the game is designed to put you as an agent constantly on the move. By this I mean you will not usually have a stable base to keep your inventory at, and there will be no shops as you might be used to from other RPGs. You won't be able to load up with big quantities of prod batteries, and you will certainly run out if you try knocking out every enemy with the prod. Even more so if you don't aim for the head and need 2-3 zaps to take them out, and the baton (the other melee weapon to knock out enemies) sucks (unless you improve your hand to hand). If you want to stick to the prod, you'll have to avoid some of the enemies.
As much as I love the game, it's not without it's flaws and the age does show. The game unfortunately hardly ever makes a distinction between killing and knocking out enemies, and in fact NPCs reactions often depend on triggers that are not intuitive. Castle Clinton on the second mission is one painful example of this, but I don't want to spoil it for you. With this I mean you could get a few enemies killed with the crowbar so long as it doesn't break immersion for you, and not be penalized for it on conversations. You'll definately need something other than the electric prod if you want to take all enemies out, but it is also possible to finish the whole game without using weapons of any sort. Just try things out and go with whatever approach you enjoy.
Finally, there is no time limit on missions, so you typically can take as long as you wish to explore each scenario. And it pays off to do so, there's always back doors or alternate routes assuming you can find them. And on that note, make sure you have a candy bar/soy food at the beginning of the 2nd mission.
