"There are also other upcoming ones which target a specific demographic. e.g. GoG. I mean, was that a brilliant idea or what? Its like retro bargain bin hunting. Hopefully they can get a lot more classics on there. But my guess is that the biggest hassle they’re faced with is tracking down the developers/publishers, finding out who actually owns the rights to properties etc. GameTap went through the same thing. It ain’t easy."

He makes a good point about niche development of games for smaller markets on smaller budgets.
I for one would love to see that, rather than EA style mega-corporations.
Its the sort of thinking that gets you truly individual inspiring ambitious games.

Yeah, I saw that, I just have never played (or really heard of)any of the games and was wondering if I should know who he is. The fact that his name sounded familiar didn't help with the confusion

He does make some valid points, like steam not being as big as valve touts it to be, and it mostly relies on the popularity of Valve games. I havent heard of any of his games nonetheless. Will some of them be on GOG anytime soon?
