Anyone preordered Chris Taylor's Demigod and got the multiplayer beta? Awesome stuff. Very DOTA like, though it's a lot more fun. What do you guys/gals think about it, if any of you have played it?
I'm interested in the game but don't want to spend $50 right now to pre-order. Do they charge right away or not until release?
I think when you get the game...
I hate Stardock's Impulse so I won't buy the game.
theres nothing wrong with impulse it's just a tad overpriced ! but as a platform for patching stardock games it's good

It's not too bad. I like it. It's not Steam, but it comes pretty close. No other digital distributor has come close in the interface/selection.

Typically, Stardock charges right away then give you the option of whether you want to start playing the beta as soon as it's released or just wait for the final product.
I ALREADY preordered Elemental : War of Magic...it's a little more in my wheelhouse than Demigod.

Yeah, I know. It just sounds like something that is REALLY the type of game I like. Plus, when the beta starts sometime this summer, I can start playing early versions of it right then and there.
It does help that Elemental is pretty much the only "big budget" game of its kind that's on the horizon right now. So if you're a fan of epic empire building games, and like what Stardock have done before, it's not exactly hard to figure out that Elemental is something you're going to want to play.
well i like sins of a solar empire def going to give demigod a go when it arrives !

Exactly my thoughts. Big fan of GalCiv 2 and I enjoy Sins, and this looks like the closest thing to another Masters of Magic we're ever going to get.
Looks good

Demigod is just a clone copy noting new in it but will worth the wait because of its titanic enemies :P
Pre ordered the game and got into the demo when it first came out (Had a nifty coupon from stardock for doing a survey, got it for 33 bucks).
I haven't played the beta since it came out, as it was mainly to test the graphics card and things at the time. so I tested it a bit and reported some things.
Guess now is a good time as any to try it now.
