Have you guys tried this game?? Or even heard about it?

It's a new, (and IMO awesome) indie game, a mix of Tower Defense and RPG.

I'm currently addicted to it, to be honest. It's quite a unique mix of TD and RPG, which I've never seem before. Your characters acts as a tower, and they have stats, equipments, levels and a skill tree. The story is quite good too (surprisingly for a TD!), with some quirk humor.

They had a article on joystiq about this the other day, I tried the demo and then bought it. It is a pretty fun game I found it quite enjoyable. Also if anyone gets interested in it after seeing it here, you can save a dollar by using the code JIG or JOYSTIQ for a dollar off.

Edit: Oh yeah, the codes JIG and JOYSTIQ only last till the end of January.

Same here. It's pretty good. Some of the levels can be pretty tough on the higher challenge difficulties.

One question I have for you guys is - do you think this game would be a good fit for GOG? I know traditionally they've only done older games, but with the Witcher 2 and other things launching here, I was wondering if they might consider us and if it'd be worth submitting.

Oh, and if GOG ever started carrying indie games, first I'd probably wet myself, and then I'd probably order the entire catalogue just on the principle of the thing. I can't answer your question directly 'til I've tried the game, though :D

I super love GOG, it absolutely fills my abandonware obsession without the incompatibility, glitchiness, and I hope they always keep that old-game focus, but I certainly would wet myself too if they let us on :)

Wow, I was literally just playing the demo and thinking "Damn, I have to buy this as soon as I get some money in my Paypal account". I look on GOG and here you are!

I think it'd definitely be worth trying to submit it to GOG. A few months ago they did state their intention to release some newer games, although I don't think they elaborated on whether they meant indie games, big publisher games or both. It's definitely worth a shot though.

They might take a long time to release it though. When the Oddboxx was released, GOG was one of the distributors listed in the Oddworld news post. It was months before Stranger's Wrath was released and I don't think Munch's Oddysee has been released at all yet. So yeah, even if you do a deal with them it might be quite a while before they release it. >.>

First of all I got to say, I have absolutely been enjoying your game. I bought it after reading a article on Joystiq. I got to say that I think that this game is just all around fun. Thank you for making this. Also I think the game would be a nice fit for GoG if you followed by the whole DRM free and a solid world price. Maybe include some extra's like the soundtrack or some stuff talking about development and it would be pretty sweet. While I doubt that GoG would take it any time soon because they do not currently have any indie games, but I do believe that this game needs to get more recognition.

Anyway, from what I seemed to understand from the video, you get resources for killing enemies. This to me seems to be an antiquated concept in TD. I think that you should get a flat amount of resources per wave (a la Sanctum), the contrary just means that the game punishes you for falling behind by making you fall even further behind.
But hey, wouldn't it be great if you had the opportunity to earn bonus resources from waves by accomplishing certain things, etc? Food for thought?

Feel free to ignore this if I've misunderstood the mechanics!

I really enjoy the game. First time in a long time I've spent money and not felt ripped off to some degree, high praise from me.

Do you guys have a method to have suggestions sent to you? I have some from my experience with the game.

And can you give any incite on things you might be adding or is the game pretty much done right now?

I'm not a big fan of TD games but this one looks interesting.

I might give it a try.

We're planning on adding some new features to the game, and anyone who buys now will get free updates.

We're not saying too much just yet about what all the extra features will be, but I can say that we'll have more challenges, items, secrets, a few new story scenes as well. In particular we want to focus on end-game content and "endless" challenge modes to give people a lot more to do once you've beaten the main game.

And.. Hello Lars.. it's pretty cool to see a dev here courting an audience.. didn't know anything about your game, had never heard of it, but your presence here has encouraged me to check it out.
