I've been looking forward to Deathspank for quite a while now and reading up Ron's blog once awhile and always assumed it was for PC first and then think about the consoles later. I heard rumours about it not having a PC version, but I washed it off as a vulgarity and pure rubbish. Apparently, I was wrong:

There's no mention of a PC version. Even if there was, the console version will be out first. This is like the 2nd time I felt betrayed after Tim Schafer. And looking at the comments isn't helping either, it's wasted on idiots who can quote "too much dialogue". Nothing like epic shit to start up the morning.
You would think an action rpg would be well suited on the PC. I'm still hopeful it will come to the PC, I don't really see any reason why they wouldn't release it later.

Both EA's Jeff Green and Hothead have said in the context of a PC version EA wants as many people as possible to play it. It will come out later.

Schafer's previous game (Brütal Legend) was basically a real-time strategy game hybrid but that didn't help it get a PC version. :(
The PC version is called the "*REDACTED*" version, indeed....
The industry has lost it's marbles.
I was pissed, too, but you have to figure it will eventually be released to download marketplaces (0 n0es Steam!) as a lot of XBL titles are, e.g. Madballs, etc. Unfortunately you'll probably have to wait even longer -- like another six months or so.

Take heart that if there's ever another gaming industry crash, it will be the consoles that get hit the hardest and the PC will continue almost as if nothing had happened.
After all, we've got vast amounts of indie developers, as well as the likes of Valve and Blizzard who all treat PC gaming as a proper part of the industry.
The *REDACTED* version is confirmed once again. By the Grumpy Gamer himself...

Awesome I'll hold out for that then.
Only ten hours of game play according to the FAQ -- a bit disappointed in that.

Oh come off it guys! We all know that action RPGs and RTS games could never work on PC. I mean seriously now! You might see beat em ups and platform games on PC but let's not get ahead of ourselves now. Clearly EA know what they're doing.
This game would sell so well on Steam given precedent... it's amazing to me they ignored the platform. I'm sure low sales of the Penny Arcade game on Steam had something to do with the decision, but it's two entirely different audiences there.
Release it now! FFS! I'm getting incredibly emo-ish seeing console threads on Deathspank in another forum while we, PC Gamers, still wait. I'm blowing up people in GTA as we speak.
