Catshade: You know what? It is damn weird that my first reaction is disappointment: "Oh no, now we won't see this game on GOG's catalog!" :P
Oh well... *starts downloading*

GOG has some free games...
Wroom!
Death rally is simple, yet addicting. A bit like marshmellows but nothing like them.
Cool game! I never played it before, but I already love it. Its fun to watch my opponents get destroyed one by one.
Nice. :) Thanks for the heads-up. Will check this out I get some free time.
Preparing for an university exam week is like grinding on WoW with no purpose. (okay, that was a bad example, but sorry, can't think of anything else right now ><) :p
Looks interesting!
Hooked again. This game is far too addictive.
Does this mean we can look forward to a free Max Payne, five years from now?
hah ! what a nice surprise ! never had a chance to play when released so it's definitely now or never ! Plus it's always nice that they fixed the game so it runs directly on modern rigs. lots of thumbs up!
Two things haven't changed since last time I played : I'm having too much fun and I still suck at this game.

Well, given that Alan Wake will probably be released around then, they might make Max Payne free to promote it.

Doubt it. Remedy sold max payne to rockstar a long while back, death rally seems the only game they have the full ip ownership now.

Hmmm I highly doubt it...and Alan Wake won't be released on pc this year, maybe never released on pc.
And add legal/justice problems between them and rockstar, like drmlessgames said. :/
However, if Rockstar owns Max Payne now, it's still possible for it to be released for free. They did release the first two GTA for free, after all.

It was a joke. Alan Wake is becoming the new Duke Nukem Forever. Back when it was first announced the fact that it was Vista only seemed like an extreme choice that would kill sales on the PC. Now Vista's past its use by date.

Don't know if it was really a choice or imposition from microsoft.
I feel sorry for Remedy, and 3D Realms too. Great times with max payne, then mp2 went down, now alan wake going down too (although it is looking promising). And of course, rockstar's gta corridor shooter (aka max payne 3), going bad too.
