Braussie: Vexxum,
First off, I want to say that this is a good attempt at reconcilliation, especially for a 14 year old. For that, you're getting a +1 from me. Ever since I saw you state your age, I knew how to take your posts, though many did not.
If you want to be a part of the community, the first thing I'd recommend is to forget about "rep". A lot of people will down rep you for a few common reasons: 1) if you talk about rep 2) if you appear to be wanting to "take" and not contribute 3) If you ask for free games 4) If you say something that they don't agree with. Simply put, many will downrep if they don't like what you said. You can also say brilliant things, give away items, and nobody gives you a +1. In reality, it doesn't matter. You will get downrepped for a while, cause people are like that. But eventually they'll forget. :)
So, in all... forget about rep. It'll get up when it goes up, and may go down here and there. :)
Now that you've forgotten about your rep completely ( ;) ), just continue to contribute to the forums. Say your thoughts, say thank you, be polite, etc. You seem to take this really personal, which I would at your age as well. It's alright, buddy! Eventually people will forget about the other things and see you as you present yourself.
You have a good, and sensitive heart. As most teenagers, you're looking for acceptance. We will generally accept you. There will always be those that will not- it's part of life, and nothing to do with you.
Keep your chin up buddy! If you have any questions on anything, feel free to send me a PM and I'll help you out!
Exactly - but no +1 from me - yet! - You'll earn it soon no doubt.First off, I want to say that this is a good attempt at reconcilliation, especially for a 14 year old. For that, you're getting a +1 from me. Ever since I saw you state your age, I knew how to take your posts, though many did not.

I hope things settle down for you, although one thing that might help before you join a community is lurk a bit. Meaning take some time to get a feel for what a community is about before posting. When you do start off lightly by making a few comments here there and introduce yourself into the local "Welcome thread" basically let people get to know you before creating a topic or participating in special events. Especially the community driven ones such as the giveaways on here.
I know this advice may be a bit too late for you since you took to the school of hard knocks on this site. But this advice applies to other forums as well, not just here. Every community is different and hold different expectations of their members. It might not hurt to take a step back for a bit and get a better feel for the community here. Good luck, I hope you stick around :)

Nroug7: Ah, Rager, I remember a time so very long ago :D
It's funny how time changes us all.

Go, do your homework, visit gamefaqs.

But in all seriousness: I learned that pounding my head against a brick wall(figuratively speaking) doesn't get anyone anything but a trip to the emergency room with a bad concussion. As such, I learned to not draw the ire so much of those here who have chips on their shoulders & axes to grind.

Good god, man, what have you done?!? You've doomed the poor man!
(An aside: GameFAQs does have a great collection of game cheats and walkthroughs.)

Haha, GOG does indeed have a lot of axes to grind (SimonG, OrcishGamer I'm looking at you guys :P) , and there are some highly influential community members on this forum. Though, it's a generally nice community. Agreed.....now pass the brandy and find cigars....I feel a gentlemanly moment coming on. ----------------

What community? ;)
(Also it may be my constant exposure to various crude websites but the community at such sites doesn't bother me too much....usually.)

Nroug7: I don't know whether it's the crudeness or the rampant stupidity that gets to me there. Now, I hate the "Druggie gamer" Stereotype, but when I look at sites like Gamefaqs I can see where it comes from. Though, maybe that is due to my exposure to the more adult/mature community on GoG
I don't know who said it but someone once said the net is basically a true view into man's thoughts uncensored and unfiltered(For better or worse.). As such(and because people sometimes mistype what they mean or type things that can be misconstrued) it is usually best when going online to take everything that looks/seems insulting/stupid less seriously then one would while not online. Dischord: Brandy, the life. Drinking a Belgian beer. just fine, but no stores open today; wanted cognac.
Beer?!? Bah, beer is for poor people. *Sips Brandy* Ahhhhhh......... ;)
