So yesterday I went to my friend's home to see Daylight. He know I like horror titles like Outlast, Silent Hill etc, so we played the game together...but the game is simply garbage.

Let's begin.

Gameplay side, this is a Slenderman game. Simple. You must find six pages in each location, then you'll find a key to open a door. That's all. I checked three locations (asylum, prison and sewer, then I went away), but all are pretty simple. There are enemies too, but if you own a flare, you can kill them.
If you like Slender games, this can be your cup of tea, even if there's anything new here.

The problem is the tech side. It's pure garbage. The pc of my friend can run Witcher 2 on Ultra without problems, but he can't run this game properly. There are so much framerate drop to single digits, stuttering, freezing...it's almost unplayable. It requires DX11 to run, but the graphic is very poor, so I don't know why DX11 are required (and Unreal Engine 4 too).

Then I checked on Neogaf, and it seems that the PS4 is very bugged too, with the same problems of PC version.

And finally, about the writing...nothing special. Really. This was promoted because it was written by Jessica Chobot (yes, the NPC you can encounter in Mass Effect 3), but there is nothing that a LOT of games did better then this Even a lot of documents seem ripped from other titles.
So, it's not an added value.

Finally, this is so overpriced. It's 14€, but you can complete it in less then two hours. And only if you get lost during random generated levels. My friend told me he beat the game in one hour and thirty, without rushing and by reading all the files he found. After I went away, there was two other locations before the end. Avoid this if you can, or at least try a demo (if there is one).
I kind of assumed you were talking about the movie.
The game also looks pretty bad and maybe a bit overpriced.. although Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes kind of changed the definition of that.

Even then the game looks nothing special, just another First Person, No Combat Horror Game that still riding on the Success of Amensia and Slender. And much of them don't appeal to me except for One Late Night.

Other than that I really cannot wait for someone to make a Fixed Camara/Tank Controlled Survival Horror in the vein of Resident Evil Remake/0/Outbreak.

They killed thir person survival horror, really. The last one I played was Amy, but it was another pile of garbage, the only game I played that I suffered motion sickness with. And the game is very horrible too.
All modern "survival horror" is nothing but contrived jump-scares. I literally have not played a game which consistently gave me a feeling of dread since the early Silent Hills.

This Steam review was quite funny:
"Bought this game with my last money. The game won't start.
Scariest experience ever 10/10"
I forgot I'm afraid, or it might be still on my to-play list but haven't got to it yet.

I feel the title might be one of the most overhyped games in a long time. "The scariest game you will ever play!" seems to be the most common sentence concerning the game on the media. Being curious, I decided to watch some beta gameplay footage on YouTube (forgot whose the video was, but that's not relevant). The player walked back and forth the corridors for 30 minutes, while nothing happened. Nothing. Just dead ends after dead ends, in a building that doesn't resemble a hospital at all, and which mostly reminded me of certain buildings from Fallout 3. Definitely lost all interest in the game after watching that.
Tbh, the Ghouls in FO3 were infinitely scarier in certain aspects than a lot of what passes for standard horror fare anymore, even with weapons added...and FO3 is my LEAST favorite FO game.

Liked the movie the first time I saw it, but thought it was ridiculous the 2nd time I saw it :P
I still like Judge Dredd though...I hope...
