SimonG: So, I arrived at Lost Izalith today.
While I do have the shortcut, I did not use it, as I wanted to have a "normal" game progression.
The two remaining bosses of the Daemon area were surprisingly easy. Especially since I buffed my SL and now have a Vitality around 35. Which was a smart move, as the Centipede Daemon was a pita to fight.
Now, Lost Izalith....
I find it interesting whenever you notice game designers running out of time .. I mean spamming dozens of undead dragon behinds which have absolutely no reason to be there?! Which are also a huge pita to fight on without ranged attacks. Boy, they sure as hell suck. But from what I've seen, they don't respawn. At lest those I could through towards the non-lava area.
I am still unable to actually defeat the kinght boss in the DLC..... Maybe I'll just ignore him until I really buffed my char.
Tonight and tomorrow for the final push!
Ah Lost Izalith. Yeah, it's one of the more obvious examples of designers running out of money and time (and I think the creator guy has said he regrets the state it ended up in). Thankfully, the dinosaur butts don't respawn. The boss is pretty annoying until you get his patterns down, too. While I do have the shortcut, I did not use it, as I wanted to have a "normal" game progression.

As for Artorias, you have to play really defensively. Dodge a lot (block only when you have to), and only attack him once or twice with every opening. It's waaaay easier if you summon buddies. The best level for summoning for that boss is probably anywhere from 50-80.
