This has to be one of the most silent releases this year...

Anyway, the newest Dark Eye RPG came out 2 days ago, and there is no press about this at all so far.

The game looks quite nice, and it seems to be fitting with the other Dark Eye RPG's, and going by the forums the only negative so far is that it uses a checkpoint save system.

Has anyone tried this yet? Not sure if I am going to spend the time a Dark Eye RPG needs until I know a little bit more about it.
Is it on Steam? I think I saw an advert there a few days ago. Its a game I would like, but my bank manager says I cant buy it until the year 2015, but only if its on "sale" then :)
It was the hompage background on gamersgate for a few days. Anyway, looks like generic action crap.
Button-mashy action combat is completely at odds with what DSA/TDE gameplay is supposed to be about, this game can burn in hell. I would rather a completely buggy and unfinished Arkania remake because you know at least it's turn-based and incorporates the tabletop rules faithfully.

Also the 3D character models and that redhead chick look like something out of Dragon Age 2

So you did not like it, I gather. How bad was the button mashing?

Yup: Steam

I think I'll wait for a sale too :)

Cool, I wasn't imagining it, my psychiatrist will be really pleased :)

A link to the "Is it worth buying?" thread on the forum, seems ok.

Actually there is no single button mashing to say the game is suffering from it, to be honest, it's discouraged. You need to time your attacks witcher style and you can cycle tru magic and strikes in a similar fashion. So if you enjoyed the witcher you will like this one too, maybe not as much but still...

This game is VERY similar to the first witcher, almost a wannabe, although not quite as polished - still a fun game. Just give a chance.
Hmm is the game more focused on action or story? The website pitches player choices, plot twists, and ethical decisions, but are they really there and do they actually have significant consequences that differ from each other? Does the dialogue truly branch? Or is it all just "what order do you want to ask these four questions, hurrr"? Because if it truly is a serious RPG I may have to pick it up, but if it is just pretty Action-RPG #3002 then I'll pass... at least for a little while. :P
I only saw a few videos of Demonicon so far but it looks like a decent Action-RPG. I'd love to see it here on GOG.

Hope that Demonicon will find the way on GOG.
In the meantime we should at least vote for it
