EA is taking a page out of Eidos' book and offering PS3 players a little something over 360 players. The PS3 version comes with a voucher for a DLC pack in March, a Digital Art Book, a Developer Documentary, the soundtrack to the game (which sounds pretty awesome judging from the trailers), and a digital version of the Longfellow translation of the original book. All in all, a pretty good deal if the game manages to be awesome.

Have you tried the demo?

Yes, and I loved it. However, demos can deceive, as the demo for Mirror's Edge made me think that the whole game would be like that. Don't get me wrong, I love Mirror's Edge, but the back half left something to be desired.
Fair point, I bought brutal legend and ended up with a console rts...
this is one game, I definitely will not be buying.
the game is offensive to me, in that I've read the book, and this game is just over sensationalizing it.
They could have made a better game, one that was thought provoking and stayed true to the book. Instead you have this bastardization of a literary classic.
plain and simple: fuck this game.
Eurogamer gave it a 6.
Demo was okay though, nothing groundbreaking but it was pretty fun. Dunno if I'd buy it though.

Never mention that lying piece of crap game again please... waste of talent Mother...... ive never hated anything or anyone more then Tim Schafer after playing BL
Anyways, I loved the demo, I thought it was great. I had more fun with that demo then GOW3 demo...

Yeah, I rented Brutal Legend and I have to say I'm disappointed in the man. It's like he abused our good will after he made that awesome Psychonauts game.
And yeah, Dante's Inferno demo was pretty awesome. I've never read the book, so maybe I'll pick this up and download the book to my iphone or something. I would love to read it, but I'm rather worried what people might think of me if I have a book on my shelf detailing the innermost workings of hell. Probably not as worried if they see my Return of the Ogre book, though...

Heh sorry but ranting about disappointment is my way of dealing with it... i could go on about blood bowl and dante's inferno as well.
Did you hear that the DI creator was thinking of a game based on Macbeth?

Dante's Inferno is okay. But there's something not quite right with it, though. Can't put my finger on it. I prefer Darksiders and God of War over it.

Tried the demo.
Out of all the games in this format this one seemed to have the most boring pure button-mashing combat.
Skipping this one and hoping they do a better job with Dead Space 2 since I loved the first one :P

Yeah if they mess that up I'll be seriously annoyed

As i said in the kotaku comment they’d probably turn it into a 3rd person cover based shooter with slutty witches and Claudius would be piloting a giant mech suit for the final battle
The worst part is that with some talented writers, a shakespearean adventure game could work. A few alternate methods to handle major events and always the option of playing it canon and you'd be onto a winner. Hell it could get kids interested in shakespeare again

The Merchan of Venice could be a loosely based tycoon game, with you playing the part of Shylock with racist references.
