thanks joystiq!
this is horrible
EDIT:
For those of you who I've not shared this with, Dante's Inferno the book is NOT an action book, there is almost no action in it at all. There's a lot of politcal statements relevant to issues for the time period, and yes there is a lot of gruesome torture..
But mostly this seems like they're trying to turn this book, into a christian game, for the hardcore video game players.
There are various forces of course, that do try to keep Dante in hell, but there are no real fights, if anything there are only periods where Dante has to hurry.
I mean, visually it would be a very appealing game, and if they decided to do it right, they'd make it in to a point and click adventure game, or even if you didn't want to do that, you could make a 2d platformer akin to Sonic the Hedgehog (Virgil would be Sonic and Dante would be Tails) without any enemies.
Update:
More on my ranting, Dante's Inferno (the game) is going to be so radically different from the book, it's going to inspire reading! yes, but when it's not the action thriller they want..
